In fact this doesn't really envolve more muscles or develop more muscles in the upper body . As it is said that's the bounce that makes you press more weight.

I think It depends. On the other hand in press 2.0 you start from a dead stop, like a deadlift; that makes it difficult again, because you are not using as much of that stretch reflex. Normally in a strict press you stop and brace at the top and bounce a little at the bottom like in a squat. For me, in my experienece, it equals out; i;m doing the same weights in 2.0 and strict. Maybe if you do a heavy single, you can lift more in 2.0. That's why there is a combination, the 1.5 press, where you do the first rep 2.0 and the rest of the set "normal". Excuse my bad english.

I've been staying away from 2.0 for a year now, but after watching this video I think I'm going to try it next time I'm at the gym pressing. I feel like I finally understand what I'm supposed to do. The key takeaway for me was not bending the knees during the hip bounce, and looking for the slight vertical dip in the bar path when doing it.
