I think can be legitimately called one the best anime fgs. Like, most early anime fgs are much worse, so the competition isn't that strong. Let's remember that DBZ Final Bout exists.

I absolutely loved the combo system, FADC is all in 1 button but you just press 1 button. We always banned infinites and enjoyed the combo potential. 2v2 was also pretty sick, actually works well with the background/foreground mechanic from the terrible kof. Unique character playstyles always made character select interesting.

Never knew this game existed, I'm impressed. Only Bleach game I've played was the one on the PS2 that was kinda like Power Stone, it was fun, I used to main my boi Kisuke Urahara.

If you are interessed there is also a sequel named Dark Souls, which is pretty much the same exept for new characters and the plot that is completly original. Its also made by the same developer Treasure inc, which i highly recommend their title, such as Sin & Punishment, Ikaruga and Mischief Maker to name a few

Actually one of the best anime fgs. The 90s had many anime fgs but most were really bad and cheaply made to surf on the hype wave of both fgs and the own anime. The easiest example is 90s DBZ fgs. Only after some time most anime fgs started raising the quality bar. Then we got the Capcom Jojo, DBZ Budokai, this game, Hokuto no Ken for PS2, etc.

A modern Bleach fighting game would steal the show 100%. A release timed some time after the end of the final arc in anime would guarantee gigantic sales. Let's hope that's what the devs of the foreshadowed Bleach game have in mind.
