Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZbin channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.o

This just highlighted to me how insanely good these guys are. Ryan groans at a wedge that left him 30 feet out, when I'd have been celebrating. Even when he'd hit a 6 iron to 15 feet he'd say "not bad... a little left" or something, when I'd be giving my buddies a extra helping of shit about my money ball. What a great guy too. @Rick, I watched this entire video, as I have watched most of your break 75 videos. I’m not one to normally dispense advise, but there’s a very easy way for you to shave 2 or 3 strokes off your score. The shorter putts. My advise would be this: 1. Concentrate. They are not gimme’s. I see you rush it. 2. Take that practice stroke as you would the longer putt. Rehearse it. 3. Move the ball just slightly back in your stance. This will shorten your backstroke and prevent overpacing and lipping it out. Save several strokes per round.

Great to see another Australian golfer on your show, Rick. With his dad's talents, you might have thought Ryan would be on the grass courts ...... Ray Ruffels was an Australian Open semi-finalist in 1968, 1969 and 1975, and a quarter-finalist in 1970 and 1977. In 1978, partnering with Billie Jean King in mixed doubles competition, Ruffels reached the final at Wimbledon and the US Open. He was a member of the Australian Davis Cup team in 1968, 1969, 1970, and 1977. Ryan's sister Gabriela goes all right as well ...... Gabriela Ruffels, the one-time Australian tennis starlet who turned her hand to golf instead, continues to ace her 'adopted' sport as her best finish yet on the Ladies European Tour (LET) has again demonstrated .... tied for 11th.

With as long and as difficult as this course is, and this being Rick's first time playing it... a 79 with no double/triple bogeys is a FANTASTIC score. Your play has vastly improved the last few episodes, some of the earlier episodes your score always would get wrecked by 1 or 2 disaster holes (like, even par over 16 of the 18 holes, but then a double and a triple on the other two holes gives you a 77). This was a great job of scrambling and getting the ball in the hole, and the course was just stunning. Having recently come back to the game after a LONG layoff (kids/work/etc) that is my basic goal - avoid the disaster holes. For me, if I could have mostly pars and bogeys, and maybe sprinkle in a double or two I could start breaking 90 again regularly, but I need to sharpen up my short game to get there.

Damn that's some scummy shit right there. Makes you realize to focus on your own game rather than putting people like this on a pedestal.

Came here looking for this. I live in Florida and courses that aren’t over-seeded from wall to wall it is a common move to move your ball because the grass does get super tough to deal with. But if he was doing that all day it makes it much easier for someone of his caliber to go low. Still a great player non the less.

Great video and some great golf! Rick’s face after the birdie putt on 17 was pretty awesome, I know the feeling of knocking in a putt like that. Very nice, as always!

Rick, truly congratulations on shooting in the 70's. OMG what a feat. That course has a fierce layout but absolutely gorgeous scenery. Your playing partner was unbelievable. Amazing. Thanks again

It's amazing that we, the folks that could only dream to play at a place of this quality, get to see it. If you think about it, when was there ever a time before this where we would even know what one hole at this place looked like. That second hole is a thing of beauty. Thanks to Isleworth and Rick for allowing us to see it!

In spite of not hitting your driver in the center and starting off on a ridiculously difficult first 5 holes with very fast greens , you did a really phenomenal job of playing within yourself and playing each shot vs playing based on where you were on the score card. Break 80 never having played on this course would be a significant challenge and you did it. Objectively, your score really was an impressive showing for you and may actually be in the top 3 of your Break 75 series. Really well done

Hi Rick and thanks for another great match! Worthy of mentioning is Arnold Palmer was behind Isleworth in the mid-80's and was the course designer. Fantastic course, thanks again love your channel!

Love this one. I actually know Ray Ruffels from coaching when he was in Carson CA and met Ryan once back when he was around 13. They had a golf course across from the tennis facility that Ryan used to play at. Awesome to see how well he's doing and what an absolutely great guy he's grown up to be. Surprised you didn't mention Ryan's sister as well, she was an accomplished junior tennis player in AUS and is now playing pro golf . What a family of athletes!

Rick, you played great for the difficulty of the beast of a course. But it was the definition of beauty and the beast. Beautiful course but difficult.

Ryan is legit. He should have a video on just driving. Amazing what he's capable of on a golf course. Hitting from the tips on that particular course, I'd be lucky if I break 100. Ryan is a credit to the sport.

Isleworth was a great golf course…I played it 20 years ago for a week when I stayed there with friends who had a house. It felt like you could eat off the fairway grass. There were no Tiger tees back then but there was Tiger playing with Mark O’Meara
