Yep, your recipe is a true Georgia style Brunswick Stew. Looks good! Reminds me of some of the best I ever ate at the long gone Melear's BBQ in Union City GA.

WOW...! Happened upon this video & it bought back a wonderful childhood memory. I've eaten this dish ONLY ONCE in my life over 35 years ago.! I was visiting a friend & his grandmom called us to the table for supper, her dish tasted sooo good that afterwards I asked my friend "What was that.?" Somehow I never forgot it's name and, here it is ! I NEVER thought I'd ever see this dish again. God rest her beautiful soul and thanks so very much for sharing.

Just got finish eating mines.My dad made the best brunswick stew ever! He made it with hog meat,chicken,corn was like the main ingredients alone with spices,crackers and sauces. He grind the meat up in meat grinder that he attach to the table and the meat fell right into the bowl.then he made the magic happen in the pot.this video show exactly how the stew needs looks.Grab some crackers or cornbread and you have a meal.Store the left overs in mason jars or freeze it if any left. One of the best fall and winter foods ever great for.Oh wait! My mom also make it let me call her now.

Looks Great! We are from Georgia and Love Brunswick Stew. The places We eat BBQ their Brunswick Stew has red hot sauce in theirs. People at home sometimes add green lime beans to their Brunswick Stew. I can eat it either way with or without lima beans but I have to have red hot sauce to give ours a little kick but not real hot. Other's may add BBQ Sauce but we don't. Thanks for Sharing I know We would enjoy yours. Yours wasn't to thick.

My girlfriend and I really liked it. I used a brown sugar substitute (I am diabetic) I used a crock pot on low for 6 hours and it made the house smell great. I froze what we had left over. Not only was it good, but it was deliciously inexpensive too. It looks like I've earned my keep for another week or so. I'm going to have check back in to see your other videos.

Hi Ms Meso. New subscriber here. Love your videos. Can't wait to make some brunswick stew. I will be making yours this time. I believe it did originate here in Georgia as well. My father traveled to Texas to see his niece (my cousin). My dad said if you ever get to Texas, the bbq is great, but don't try to ask for any brunswick stew. I said why? He said They will look at you with a puzzled face and say what is brunswick stew? They don't know what it is. I said you gotta be kidding me. Wow! Thank God I'm from Georgia!

No potatos? Blasphemy!!!....lol.
@MesoMakingIt2 жыл бұрын
OMG! NO! NO POTATOES, NO LIMA BEANS, none of that foolishness. You talking about BLASPHEMY! Messes up a perfectly good Brunswick stew. In Georgia Brunswick Stew is all about the smoked MEAT, no fillers or stretchers! We don't play that. When we start adding all those other vegetables it becomes soup or mulligans stew. You must come from Virginia or North Carolina where they think they invented this dish. NOT! Bob, just playing with you ..... but not really, lol Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia have long been rivals on this amazing dish. Thanks, Bob Jones, for the opportunity to have this lighthearted banter that's been going on for years. Thanks for watching and many blessings to you, my friend.

Georgia's Brunswick stew is never ever as good as the stews in south central Virginia / north central north Carolina. Over and over Virginians win the stew contests. Virginia was the originator of Brunswick stew, the dead give away is that back in the day, Georgian folks were taught the 4 r's R eading R ighting. And the R oad to Richmond Virginia! Thats where yall learned the stew, and ruined it with brown sugar, green beans, bell peppers haha, thats why yall dont win the stew cook off contests.
