Dezod Motorsports appears to be out of business and the website down. Not surprisingly, by the BBB complaints and my own personal experience with the company. I imagine this exhaust is only on the used market at this point. A shame, because it was a nice product, if you could get it.
I think I finally found an exhaust that (mostly) lives up to my ridiculous expectations! The dual exit catback exhaust from Dezod Motorsports looks good, fits great, and sounds awesome! Check out all the details in the video including actual weight and of course, all kinds of exhaust sounds.

I am so jealous Dezod Motorsports does some amazing work!! I had one of their exhausts on my tC and my heart still breaks that the tC was totalled years ago. I'd hate to say it but maybe adding just one more resonator section in the mid pipe would be the ticket on smoothing out the touch of rasp if you dont end up with the turbo. Nevertheless this has convinced me to get it for my BRZ also when the time comes thank you for the video.

Indeed this exhaust is a work of art. You are right, another resonator would help tone down the sound for sure. I wish I had done that on my old Tanabe Concept G. However, I think this Dezod exhaust is good where it is, it really has a unique rumbly sound that I haven't heard on any other exhaust.

I don't know if you plan on changing your spoiler, but I have a 2018 and really like the stock spoiler that came with it. Just wish it was raised up a bit so I bought the drambeenie riser and I love it! Give it a look. Great videos man

Since you've tested so many, and I'll watch through the videos again ... in your opinion, which is the deepest exhaust of them all, most quiet, and the combination of the two, preferably with minimal rasp. My plans are full sleeper, with no drone, no rasp, as deep as possible, and as near to stock quiet as possible considering other goals; such as UEL headers, keeping cats, and if it needs a resonator so be it. I plan to sell my RX-8 Shinka in the next year or two and get another BRZ (had a 16 Limited 3 years ago, got the 8, going back) and working on lists of things I want to do so I can have a mod list planned out, I feel you can never start your research too early. Glad you found something you liked, remember seeing a video where you weighed a cat back and it was heavier than advertised which I'm sure was more disappointing than you shown on camera ;) from my search, borla seems pretty deep, but also loud, Perrin wasn't as deep as I thought, magnaflow seemed pretty deep from the camera shot I watched a bit ago but also drone/rasp, and some others but my mind is melting and unless the cameras mics are similar as well as all the settings, videos don't do it justice for the sound, but especially sound comparisons. This exhaust is definitely super loud to me ;)

The Dezod exhaust is probably not what you are looking for if you want more quiet, deep sound. The closest thing to stock quiet I have tested and used (and I loved) was the Blitz VSR dual exit exhaust : kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYKzYoyOeLpmi6M I would also recommend the CounterSpace Garage Touring 86 exhaust, it should fit all your needs and is probably what I will go to next : bit.ly/btr-csg-touring86

Thermal R&D with the helmholtz chamber is the answer as long as you keep the OEM front pipe. It's crazy controlled in volume.

That one looks pretty good! Don't give me any other exhaust ideas to try out, I've had enough lol. Most anything with the stock front pipe will be more quiet. The extra big resonator and full cat' takes sound down a lot, at the cost of weight a potentially flow.

I've had the same Dezod catback for almost 2 yrs with the tomei uel and motiv front pipe and over pipe. It sounds amazing and it's very loud. But I want to let you know the weld between the 2 mini mufflers failed on mine and had to get it rewelded. I had a shop do it exactly like their new version 2 with the triangle piece connecting all the pipes for much more support. Yours sounds awesome too btw. It's a great cat back and I wouldn't change it...cept for maybe the greddy titanium that costs $4000....

Hey Justin, I love Dezod, their quality is amazing. If that setup isn’t exactly what you want, I feel my setup may be your answer: JDL UEL Catless Header Perrin Overpipe JDL front pipe with HFC and Resonator Stock midpipe Nameless single exit 5” muffler track pipe This setup is quiet in the street, loud when you want to hear it. Tone is honestly a small block V8. I say that and people don’t believe me hen they hear it and think I have a 5.0 coyote. Best part is: whole exhaust from header back is only 30lbs

I think we have similar opinions on exhaust hahaha. I would imagine without a second resonator, the nameless single would be insane. I can send you a clip of mine if you wish but I don't have much more than an iphone camera sadly so it won't be accurate. Anyways keep up the good content!!

Of course you can pair that up to your header (which is undoubtably the best for the 86) and still have roughly same character. Let me know if you want a sound clip!

I am still racing the car competitively with SCCA in STX class autocross. So, I am limited to what mods I can do. Aero would put me in a different class. Maybe next year if I decide to add power to the car :)

Correction, the stock catback is about 39lbs. So, the Dezod is around 5lbs lighter.

You need an intervention ;-) Sounds great, especially from that outside mic. Has a nice growl, but I wonder how much of that is the exhaust or the header. You say it doesn't drone, but I would've liked to hear a sample of you cruising the back roads at 40 mph.

Haha, I do need an intervention, it is getting ridiculous...It didn't growl like this with the custom exhaust, which was just a single Magnaflow muffler. I think the dual muffler configuration of the Dezod is what gives it that sound.

Hey Justin, just discovered this while looking at "info", impressions, etc on the BRZ (86). Nice exhaust btw. Nice video; smooth, to the point w/o sensationalism that seems to be present on many BRZ/86 videos. [I really need to pick up a quick jack]. How is this car for an "older" person, in terms of daily driving, in your opinion? I was dead set on a VW wagon, w/3 pedals of course, but after all of the positive magazine reviews of this car AND a test drive, I'm rethinking my decision. This car, although on the opposite end of the practicality spectrum, would be a great daily and still be able to carry things/stuff to include my 6.75yo son and his booster seat. I don't carry/haul stuff or ppl much in my mk4 GTI as it is. I'm an under-tall guy and can sit behind myself in the BRZ, so my son would have no problem in the backseat, despite it being tiny. Yes, the BRZ is no wagon, but what it lacks in hauling space, I believe it more than makes up for that shortfall in many other areas that the VW wagon can't touch. Cheers.

Hey thanks for the comments! If space is really not a concern, it would be a fine daily driver. However, fitting a kid in the back seat is kind of tough, it really isn't a big space. I have a 12 year old and a 9 year old and I rarely take them in that car just because it is a tight fit. It is doable though, you just need the front seat moved forward all the way.

Thanks for sharing the vid. I’m in the market for a new high flow system (currently greddy evo3) I’m not sure if the dezod will be louder or quieter than the evo3? Any input? Also how’s the sound level on long distance trips on the highway?

Hmm, hard to say. They both have dual mufflers and a resonator. I have never heard an Evo3 in person so I cannot really compare. The Dezod sounds great and is fine on long trips. That is with my ACE header and the JDL Ultra Quiet front pipe. Your header and front pipe will have a big impact on sound and tone too, so keep that in mind.

It seems Lightweight, Sound bearable, and flows good is the Unicorn for these cars. Most light exhaust sound way too loud. I have HKS Legamax Premium its Great looking, Sounds amazing, but only loses about 2lbs over stock. I was hoping your exhaust you was truly sub 30lbs but I guess we will keep chasing that Unicorn. This exhaust was a hand-built piece made by a company that no longer exists. The design might have been copied by others but this specific one is no longer available.

From what I've heard of the Borla (in person), these are similar. I like the CSG exhaust (might be too quiet though for your wants) and also the Perrin exhaust sounds really good. The Blitz dual exhaust I reviewed in one of my other videos was also really awesome, sounded great when getting on it, but very tame when just cruising.

Tony B+ It would be fine for low/medium boost applications. If you are pushing more air through your car, a little bigger exhaust is more beneficial. The Dezod is 64mm to the CSG 70mm piping.

You don't need to purchase a front pipe, either will attach to stock front pipe. I like the Dezod over the MXP exhaust sounds, but CounterSpace Garage makes a variation of the MXP that is pretty nice.

Nope, I daily drove with it. I did change the front pipe recently to a JDL Ultra quiet and that made it even more tolerable and improved the sound.

With an intro like that, I expected more 420/Vape happening with "WAT'S UP! BEFORE WE GET STARTED, LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, NOTIFICATIONS, SPONSOR BOOOYEEZZZZ". ;) WedSport contingency? Detailed Image? Is there any reason you want a dual exit? I see dual exhaust on a collected, single header-exit exhaust that goes from a single BACK to a double to be ridiculous. Just style? If so, I get that... but that is one of those things (as an autoX) I just see as a waste. Then again, I would only run a UEL, which I know is slower... so yeah. :) Nice meta in the video! I appreciate all of that so I can buy some in-car cameras. Thank you!

I've had some single exits that I would still have, if they were not too loud :(

If you ever do any `nerdy` vids about the 360-cameras or data acquisition/camera setup on the autoX car, count me in as interested... but understanding why that would not get the views. :) Thank you for taking the time to do the vids. Loved the intro despite the good-natured ribbing. I really liked it a lot more and the quiet (edit) music that continued and eventually went away until the end!

The ACE header is just so freakin loud, and the tone is just unbearably ugly. That's why the quiet exhausts are a must for these.

I don't think that is necessarily a result of the ACE header. Any catless header is louder. I've had numerous exhausts with the ACE header and they all produce different levels of sound and tone. I would like to try the Blitz VSR that I had before with the ACE header though, little more quiet.
