I picked up a 5600XT last year for around 100usd and it's been performing like a champ for 1080p/60fps. It could probably use a repasting; it runs pretty hot if I try to play on ultra settings so I tend to drop them to high-medium, but other than that it's been performing admirably. I fkn love the used market.

Could be a fun side-hustle, but I recommend getting into selling services like troubleshooting/repairs, you get paid more for that in my experience. And you’re saving things from going to ewaste.

Just learn to become "Mr Smug Bugger" mate, the 4060 is appalling crap. A zero upgrade card from the 3060, worse in fact because the 4 chip 8GB VRAM config makes it worse than a 3060 for 1440P gaming, or any games that have high VRAM usage. The 3060 itself was the worst gen on gen upgrade for bloody years, it was only 5% faster than a 2060S and 3% faster than a 2070. For context a 2060 was over 50% faster than a 1060 and it's raw power (before taking into account benefits from the new architecture) was identical to a GTX1080, and the 1060 doubled FPS compared to the 960.

I've never owned an AMD card but not because I'm an Nvidia fan, it's just the circumstances of when I needed a card and what I could get for the money I had. The best product is not a brand, it's the one that you gives the most of what you want for the money. Right now the best budget and mid-tier cards are 100% AMD for the vast majority of consumers, both used and new.

Ya'll sleeping on the Vega 64, it gained an immense amount of performance in the driver updates over the years and can be had for around a $100, Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro for less than $150 The performance in my testing is identical to the 5700xt and the odd game that really favors HBM2 it can greatly exceed it. Vega was a weird series for sure but its still a beast. Was just playing Helldivers at 1440p high at over 60

@@umairwaseem882 The 6GB of DDR5 in a 6 chip memory configuration really made the 1060 drop off quite fast. It's a great card, one of my favourites, but I replaced mine with a 2060S in 2019 because it started struggling even then. Still, in 2016 it was cheap, round me in the UK it sold for nearly half the price of an RX580, which is why I bought one to replace my GTX770. I think today you should at least look for a DDR6 card with good DX12 performance, so a 16Super, RTX or RDNA card would be a better choice. Of course it all depends on cash and local pricing, there's no bad parts only bad prices. A 1060 can still run most modern games at 1080P medium or low and give you 60FPS+, with a bit of tweaking. And of course it'll run your older games up to a few years ago like a champ.

The reason rust flatlined even with the bios flash is because rust is basically completely cpu based. Most cards over 100 bucks should experience no fps difference between low and high settings as long as the cpu is decent

There're lot of great deals on used GPU on eBay. Just bought an Asus GTX 1660TI for $100,a Zotac GTX 1060 6GB for $50, a GTX 1650 Super for $50 and an Asus GTX 1050Ti for $55. Bought the 1050ti specifically for upgrading an old PC with only a 300W PSU without GPU power cables since the 1050ti is PCI slot powered.

I went from a Geforce 1070 to later a 225$ (CAD) RX 5700 XT and I absolutely love it. Also I bought my PC as a used AM4 motherboard + a used Ryzen 3600x which I then upgraded to a Ryzen 5800x (I regret not spending to get the x3D variant however it's not like I would utilize it with my current card. I would say 5500 XT 8gb and the 1660 6gb are around 100 dollars they are the best low budget gpu right now, Then the 5700 and the 1660 super they are still over 100 dollars even on Aliexpress and CEX, The ryzen 4500 and 3500x are cheap cpu then the ryzen 3600 and the 5500 there performances is quite the same.

Rx 570 does NOT get the credit it deserves, no roblox on 1 fps is not the only thing it can play, just get other parts around the same price,AND WHY DO MORONS NOT OVERCLOCK?? just pair it up with cheap parts (around 120$) and overclock and you can run games from 2018 smoothly on high graphics. (the whole setup would cost around 700$)

I gave my brother my son's old i77700k gaming desktop and added a MLLSE 5700 GPU, installed Radeon pro drivers as he does 3d and autocad. He says it's blazing fast. He had a ryzen 1700 with rx580 and crashed a lot and was sluggish. Now he can open 3 or 4 large projects at the same time, whereas his cohorts at a modern company can't even open one. No waiting time, Bing Bing bing done. I overclocked The desktop.

RX 6600 same price^, better temps^, better powers over cost^, better software including Mesh Shaders while 5700 does not^, 2GB more VRAM then 5700 & with Raytracing on e-sport titles are playable if support it^, for the cost of lower fps on Low 0.1%. & Low 1% which 6600 can be overclocked a bit to catch up with 5700 Low% 5700 only have Raw Power 200w power against the 6600 100w for only very few extra average fps not worth it, can just overclocked the 6600 if needed

I understand where you’re coming from, but these cards play these games at very low settings. So we have this high end rig with its weakest component being the very important GPU. This renders all other components performance level at a level less than they should be. So my take is that if you’re buying a cheap GPU, you may as well buy inexpensive components to pair with it.

For 130$ I bought last time used Sapphire pulse rx 6600. I think it's a better option. Rx 6600 has support DX 12 Ultimate, mesh shaders and consume less power compare to rx 5700. And rx 6600 will be longer support by amd than a rx 5700/xt. Probably Amd for 2 or 3 years will be end support of rdna1 gpu because in 2023 they ended support for polaris presented in 2016

depends on what you're upgrading from. If its your first system then you've got a clear upgrade path with your motherboard with the am4 socket, just make sure you get the b550 or x570 motherboard for pcie gen 4 support in the future, otherwise the guy above me is right try for a better processor, even a ryzen 5 5500 would be better and its potentially only $20 more than the ryzen 3 3100

God, during COVID I paid $350 for a used MSI 1660 Super Ventus OC .. without a bracket, but it got me through, and it was my virgin GPU, in an OEM HP desktop with a separate PSU 😂 that didnt fit in the case obviously, Frankenstein build.. but like I said, it worked, and its kind of a beast of a card, which I plan to keep for memories of a tough time 😢

With the 5700 and 5700xt you can run registry edits and get a higher tdp. I remeber pushing my rx5700xt up to 270 watts.

I snagged an RX 6600 XT for £130 In the UK and I'd recommend it over the overpriced 3060s in the used market at nearly 250-300
