I shoot with a GFX50r and just picked up a D200 for 80$ to try some 'retro' photography. It takes beautiful pictures and you will learn everything you need to know using it. There is no need to agonize over the choices just pick up something cheap and learn to use it.
@Christian_Kurz14 күн бұрын
You can learn photography with every camera out there. Of course. But let´s be honest: you bought the d200 to try some retro and the people that want to start with photography they don´t want to try retro, they often shot with their smartphones before and would be very upset if they compare the images out of a d200 with the ones out of any modern Smartphone.

@@ironmonkey1512 I can assume D200's CCD sensor is phenomenal. I recently got myself a Canon D30 (not 30D), it's a first digital DSLR camera Canon produced, it only have 3MP's, but let me tell you, with the right glass and software it's a pure wonder. In good light colours and details are gorgeous, noise and resolution is not an issue today, thanks to amazing tools such as Topaz Photo AI and Lightroom. It's a truly a renaissance age for old cameras we live in. Excuse me, do you like the GFX50r?

Never said that cameras are cheap. Of course the used market is cheaper and you get cheaper apsc cameras that i recommended. But i think you get a lot for the Price and that is why i said that it would be my choice.

I agree with the vlogger about a SMALL palm-sized camera, but I do NOT agree that a camera costing $2000 is a good idea for a beginner :)!!! Consider instead the amazing SONY RX100 i, ii, or iii that cost around $500, have zoom lenses, a built in flash, cheap batteries, and a wonderful pop-up view finder, as well as a pop out back screen, and most important-beautiful images. Even better, buy the latest IPHONE or Samsung Galaxy cell and learn to use the high quality cameras in these phones. If you decide not to be a photographer you still have a great cell telephone to share pics with your friends. You can learn to shoot as a photographer with a good cell camera just like on a regular camera, but it's much easier-much more user friendly. The photos will not be as detailed/sharp/rich when blown up a bit, but so what? You are learning and deciding if you want to be a photographer :)! If you buy a cell, review the many you tube videos about how to shoot with the cell camera, or if you use a new iphone, go to the free classes at the Apple Store in your neighborhood. No matter what, never buy as a beginner, a detachable lens camera, you simply won't use it enough to warrant the cost, and they are too darn big to travel with or take to local events. Again, start with cells or palm sized cameras (under $600) then move up from there to APSC or full frame interchangeable lens cameras. Lastly, always consider used cameras sold by private parties who decide NOT to be photographers! You get great depreciation on such sites as Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, Offer-up. Amazon, EBAY are good as well, but you pay tax.

You get some good prices at the used market. If you don´t need the fastest autofocus, even the first Sony A7 has good image quality, same with the a6000. Lenses are affordable too on the used market.

The future of MFT is difficult, it was often predicted to go down but it is still here. I just can´t suggest it to someone that is new into photography, because it's future is unpredictable.
