The short Byrne-Stern run is my favorite of Cap with the Union Jack-Baron Blood story being absolute peak.

I was wondering why I suddenly got a few new followers on IG this morning - then I sat down to watch my favorite comic book KZbin show and was flattered to hear you mention my work. You guys are the best! Thank you so much for the shoutout! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both of you and all the Bronze and Modern Gods members 😊❤️✌️

Lots of great Cap stories and runs to consider. For me, the Roger Stern/John Byrne run was terrific and Mark Waid's mini-series "Man out of Time" was my favorite complete story. Of course any good run owes a debt to Jack Kirby for co-creating the character and, along with Stan Lee, giving us the look and temperament of Steve Rogers in the Silver Age.

I was doing chores as I started the video and only a few minutes in looked up to see Richard in full Santa Clause regalia! The joy it brought to my heart! Thank you too John for sweating it out in your Christmas jumper for the Holiday special! Thanks for another fun year of Bronze & Modern Gods! Happy Holidays to you both, hope you get a few moments of rest and recovery with those you love! 🎄🎅🏾🎁☃️🩷

I'm a simple man. I see an under-rated Cap story video. I click. Merry Christmas boys!

Regarding Birds of Prey, Gail Simone wrote a large chunk of the BoP title from issue #56 through to #108 and is seen as one of, if not the definitive take on the team (and one of my all time favourite runs in comics). 👍🏼

Rudolph series is definitel yunderrated -- even around Christmastime. The one to look out for is the 80 page "Annual" Giant Rudolph (1963-4). It was one of the first DC 80 page giants, and is a rare silver age book that can go for some serious cash -- if you can find it.

I’m working on a run of Rudolph and that giant issue is NEVER on eBay. (Btw, it’s actually dated 1962-63.) Truly rare! I do have a coverless #1, and all the treasury editions.

Brubaker's run on Cap is the best run on Cap, but I have a soft spot for the John Walker as Cap storyline. It really did a good job showing how much of "Captain America" was really just Steve Rogers. As for the Champions Outlawed storyline, didn't we do that back in 2006 with Nitro kicking off Civil War? And the Dixon-era Birds of Prey were Oracle and Canary. Gail Simone added Huntress to the team when she took over the book.

Winter soldier is my absolute favorite solo Cap story. But the very best Cap story ever was Stern’s masters of evil masterpiece in Avengers 272-277 or so.

There's a great issue of New Avengers that features Wolverine's past with Squirrel Girl! And Shirtless Bear Fighter is a great book!

American Flagg is one of the most memorable and entertaining titles of the 80s (at least when Chaykin is in charge). I agree with John, The Champions are Ghost Rider, Black Widow, Angel, Hercules and Iceman. And the Guardians Of The Galaxy are Starhawk, Vance Astro, Charlie-27, Yondu, Martinex and Nikki and they fight the Badoon - no talking trees and no Star Lord, whose stories were never set in Marvel continuity to begin with. I thought Rudolph has a red nose because he drinks too much hard liquor. Merry Christmas to all.

Best Cap run is the John Byrne run.

I think that the cap 1 page is just that..a PAGE!!I thought at first he meant original art,but I’d bet he meant a CGC graded page.did you think he meant original art,or am I that stupid know it all who knew nothing?
@revoltpuppyАй бұрын
You brought up the contrast between Steve Rogers and John Walker and still ignored Sam Wilson as the real Captain America? “Cap is the beacon, Cap is the light, why would you try to diminish that light?” I feel like you’re just on the cusp of realizing what Nick Spencer’s answer is with that “stunt,” and it’s not in making Captain America evil, it's in making the real Captain America Black. There are some powerful moments in Cap's story, but you have to get over the fact that the real, actual mantle of Captain America wasn't Steve Rogers’s during that time.

Perspective police! Herc's fist in the foreground should appear bigger (since it's closer), but it's about half the size of the fist further back… so he'd have a tiny Trump right cross and an Andre the Giant left hook.
