David Copperfield also performed this linking card routine in which I revealed. This is an intermediate difficult level.

Paul, plus many other creators spend a lot of time and effort to invent these wonderful effects and would like to protect these secrets for the magic community. A performance with the link to where he sells the book that teaches this would be more appropriate. Not disclosing others hard work for your gain. Just something to consider when posting this type of video :) Good Vibes

We are happy to see performances of all Paul's effects on KZbin, as performances are good for everyone to see, but not the reveal. That is against magic ethics.

>>>knowledge gives power ---Indeed, but lets remember that there are 2 sides of the coin in which those who use knowledge for evil, will use it regardless if is free or paid. Those who want to cheat, will cheat regardless; so I am in a situation in which I can educate for good or for evil, and this is why I create an FAQ section in the "Art Zone" website to make my point & intentions as clear as possible. Evil people will find a way to make evil regardless. So I have to educate. Take care =)

So I can't or shouldn't perform this close up? The reason I'm asking there's a video I just watched and Copperfield is performing this sitting on the front edge of the stage right up close to people and has them examine the cards before he does anything but he ends by with the fully restored it's really cool trick I'm gonna learn this one thanks

Is the last "phase" with the visible hole a real thing or did you just do it in the video? I'd never do that part. It's essentially a "reveal" for your spectators, IMO. If you show the "hole", then the linking effect is replaced with a pseudo-TnR and it's obvious to anyone with a brain how that works, even if they don't fully understand the movements necessary to bring the cards into such a state. I'd just unlink and unfold everything. Everything else is nicely performed, though.

He isn't making money off of this tutorial. There are so many, and I mean an uncountable plethora of magic tricks out there I don't suppose it hurts to discuss older classics. Such keeps the interest in magic alive. Paul Harris has a slew of them. Sometimes we pay to learn magic, other times its an "on the house" sort of thing. I hope someday to share my own original ambitious card routine on YT, and no, I won't be charging anyone.

Revealing magic tricks does NOT contribute to magicians inventing, but by cutting down on their small profits and income in the future, gives them no reason to keep creating. If everyone did this why would anyone spend their lives creating new effects?

If everyone made youtube videos about video games then why would people still want to make youtube videos about video games, yet they still do it! it's called creating something, the goal the excitement, the risk, the challenge. that is why, and trust me when they first release a effect to market, they make plenty from it.

>>>no disrespect but what has your bible and bible quote to do with magic and this great video ?!!!!! honestly ---I believe he is emphasizing what I quote in most of each video footnote I post. However, the reason I post that myself, is because I am encouraging magicians to teach tricks for free for the same reason I do to all of you for free as well (even more if the audience ask). However, I know most magicians won't do it, but is my obligation to tell it & pass it on anyway. Kind regards.

U give knowledge /knowledge gives power /power requires sense of responsibility /that sense gives you control over your power. Some kid is going to watch this, be inspired and get into magic. The more he gets into magic, the more he will seek it out. He will probably learn that this is a Paul Harris effect. He will want to learn more about Paul Harris. He may even buy his books and videos. One day, he may even meet Paul Harris and thank him for creating the effect that got him started in magic. And none of this would have happened if videos like these did not exist. Outside of magic, does anyone know who Paul Harris is? Now someone will and know his work. The secret in magic is that THERE ARE NO SECRETS! The best performers will always succeed because of the time and passion they put into their magic to create a PERFORMANCE that people are willing to pay to see; even if they kinda know how the trick is done. Why? Because they love him/ her, not the trick.

I usually try to tell them how is done in clues, so they get to think for themselves. If they are not the kind of person who likes to think, I just tell them. Most spectators are too ambitious to know the secret, that they keep saying: I don't know, I don't know, I don't know....that they don't even bother to think. I just tell them. Usually those people tend to forget what I told them anyway, but at least I do my part so my conscious is clean of any blame of fooling others. Take care.

Look, I have Paul Harris effect. Paid for it in full. That was many years ago. Seen Fernando's tutorial many times even saw Copperfield and many other magicians perform the linking cards. Amazed me every time. Any I know how it's done! When I was trying to learn how to do the trick. It took me many years to learn and master the linking cards. My point is. It was revealed to me how the trick was done. So what. I couldn't do it. I didn't remember how to do it. I didn't understand the mechanics of it. You see there are so many details and such only one who takes time to learn the effect will learn. Look, magic is for everyone. Some of us just choose to make an effort to learn it. I go to magic shows repeatedly even if I do know the secret of the magic. Why? Because it's fun and entertaining. The next time you see a trick and you know how it was done, ask yourself, "Was it done well...?"

Fernando is doing what any magician has been doing for years. Some of the best magicians reveal their effects. Look at all of the information out there on magic. How did that information get out there. Revealed. Go into a magic shop and learn any trick you want for cold hard cash. Fernando just don't charge you. How did you learn the tricks you do? You bought them and or someone taught them to you. So why don't you bash them...? The moment you opened a magic book or tuned in to some tutorial or got a book from the library or from whatever source, you made an effort to learn that magic. Not because someone revealed it. I've seen other magicians teach this same trick and many other famous tricks and illusions. Even David Copperfield does it. Look at Pen and Teller. Pen said once: They can reveal a trick and then five minutes later fool people using the same principle...so, he ask,what has been revealed...? Think about it. David BIaine does it, Criss Angel and many many more. And for FREE! Do some research? I'am a master magician myself. Even I get fooled by some of the magic that use principles that I already know. The principle was just used in a different way for the effect. So I made an effort to learn how the trick was done. I MADE AN EFFORT! The myth is that magicians don't reveal their secrets. They do. I make out just find. My profession isn't set back. I'm working. Before you point a finger at someone, go check out some of the biggest names in magic and see who comes up REVEALING MAGIC. I'll bet even you have taught some tricks in your time...so...

A Master Magician, I think NOT! You are not a Master Magician my friend. HaHa! Maybe a Magician without the Master part. Be sides you one have *2Subs* lol. The truth is there is only one *MASTER MAGICIAN* . It is an award/title that is pasted down from a senior recipient to a younger magician who has proven himself deserving of the title. The title has always been past onto a male magician, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be awarded to a women in the future. The current person to hold the title Master Magician is *Lance Burton* . He was awarded this title in a ceremony in which Master Magician Lee Grable bestowed the title to Lance. If someone other that Lance a Burton tells you they are a master magician, they are lying. ariannblack.com/master-magician/what-is-a-master-magician-2/

Two things you need to care about your statement, this video will obviously not going to get remove anyway, but you are also encouraging others to lie by flagging something under a false statement in which it will damage their own YT account in the long run. And it can also lead to perjury against the user. The second thing is that this video belongs to me, free market competition is a legal procedure. Not only you don't know about copyrights, but also damaging other channels. Take care.

That's fine, I just sent an email to PH and he will determine the fate of this video. People like this hurt the pockets of legitimate magicians, many of whom struggle to make a living in this art form. If you believe its fine to plagiarize someone's work, you should rethink your life and learn a little more about the world as well as reflect on your own morale values. However, Paul may be nice enough to let this effect go. Bless him.

I do have 2 jobs, if one can't afford you by doing magic tricks, get a full time job as I do. All competition hurts, but competition is a fact and is everywhere as a general market. FernandoP1 - Art Zone Productions This isn't competition. Competition would be designing your own method and publishing it under a different name. You are a beginner to magic and don't understand what you are talking about. Try looking up international plagarism laws. I too have emailed Paul and his security team are taking a good look at you. Shame on you, you rip off artist. Stop ruining this art form.

AJ Johnson Your point is only applicable when is under the subject of "trade secret", otherwise is free market competition. The title is obviously under different name because is a different video that doesn't belongs to any one but me. So I understand what I am talking about since I do have an attorney assessor. Plagiarism have nothing to do with it since people can't own a fact or an idea. So is an irrelevant subject. Thanks for your good wishes, but if you don't like the art, I don't see what you're doing here, your attitude is inconsistent with your actions. With regards.

FernandoP1 - Art Zone Productions False. Many scientists are renowned for keeping their creations a secret. Pharmacies in particular pay big money to keep their recipe a secret. What you are confusing, is a science teacher with an actual scientist. One actually benefits from giving out more information, the actual scientist needs to keep their research from being known in order to make a profit for their corporate funders. The same is true for Magicians and Magic teachers. Magic teachers make their living from designing effects for other magicians (like PH) while the magicians keep these secret to earn more money from returning customers. You are not contributing to the magic community. You are a fraud and like pirate copiers, you are hurting the industry. I have emailed Paul Harris and he can decide if he wants to take legal action against you. Which he can. For every view you have on this site, he can technical sue you for damages equating to the price of the effect per view. If not, he will get close to it. I hope you learn't a valuable lesson.
@fernandop1
@fernandop1 10 жыл бұрын
Olivia Naomi Scientist can keep their scientific method, formula (trade secret), discoveries as a secret, but as soon as competition find out, you loose the exclusivity. That is why we have generic medicines and products. Because of it, some stores close and some others open (free market competition). It all comes to whether you want to charge or keep it free. But you can't own a secret when is discern by others. Bootlegging is illegal, teaching ideas and facts are not. Copyrights only protects the authorship that are fixed in a tangible form of expression. And by the way, trying to remove a video that is made by me is illegal, and is consider a perjury trying to consider ownership of my fixed tangible form of expression as yours. Any other question, issues or concern, just let me know. Best regards.

Do you buy generic products? Do you ask them to take it down?

only saying it because it gets annoying when you perform a cool trick you learn from a book, hoping nobody knows how its done, and then they come back to you saying that they found out on KZbin how its done, thus ruining magic for everyone else.. i guess i can't really say its your fault, since it's the people who can't take magic how it's supposed to be. But from my point of view it'll be nice to respect somebodies hard work by taking it down. You don't have to do anything, its your channel and your video but i feel its harming the magic community.

***** I didn't learn this from anyone, I just figure it out myself after watching a magician around the 90's in a TV show. The credits were point out from another guy who told me the origins of it and then is when I update the footnote about. Regards

i think its hard to create and share magic in an age where everyone is not used to not knowing something.im sure with enough research anybody can find anything publshed on the net. it does hurt the art.

bassassn1 If it was stealing it would be illegal and it isn't because ideas are not personal properties, only tangible form of expressions as copyrights are suppose to be. But thanks for your comment though.
