Nice stuff Tank, These phanteks cases are great budget cases, I've built many, MANY systems with them from Wootware. As a note, many of the 2x 14cm / 3x 12cm front fan cases from Phanteks can take 2x 14cm AND 1x 12cm at the top front.
@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, man! As you know, we did a ton of Phanteks builds at UFD Tech and they were definitely some of the best and easiest ones. Super dope cases. I don't think that fan configuration is possible in this specific case without modification. The top and bottom areas of the front panel are completely closed off, and the basement area is also sealed off, leaving just enough room for two 140/120mm fans.

Great review. I'm thinking about switching over to this case from my Q300L. I have an mATX mobo, and I modded my case for better airflow, but it's still missing a lot of features that this has for around the same price. Not to mention that the P300A actually has a smaller footprint than the mATX case I currently have haha.
@TheTechTank3 жыл бұрын
I was actually looking into reviewing the Q300L because it looks like it could be great with the right configuration, but I can tell just from looking at it airflow performance won't be nearly as good as on the P300A. There's just too much airflow obstruction going on in the front of the Q300L.

@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
It definitely is thanks to the top radiator support, but I'm betting that closed front panel isn't doing temps any favors, lol.
@skytwo2254 жыл бұрын
@@TheTechTank the S500 TG chassis is mainly designed for water-cooling. There is only so little you can achieve in cooling any pc case with just fans.
@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
Sure, but radiators still rely on fans and fresh air for optimal cooling. Choking the front intake with a closed panel will still result in worse temperatures, even if it's not by much.

Great video, very easy for me to understand as I only delved into the world of PC building yesterday! Question - I’m worried it could be a little bit of a small workspace for me to do my first ever build in, do you think?
@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
Nice, glad to hear you decided to put together your own build! It is a little tougher to build in because of the limited room, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. All I would recommend is that you install your GPU last, then you shouldn't have too much trouble.
@m.n.b-arcade19543 жыл бұрын
the only thing that concerns me is the backside isnt being covered, it will get dusty inside the case from there?
@TheTechTank3 жыл бұрын
Not from the back, no. It'll definitely get dusty from the front if you have intake fans there (all cases with mesh front panels have that problem), but the only way you'll get a lot of dust coming in from the rear is if you have all of the case fans blowing air out of the case. That creates negative pressure inside the case which will suck dust in.
@m.n.b-arcade19543 жыл бұрын

Can i take out the front HDD bracket and install the 120 mm fan instead?
@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
The brackets are removable, but I'm pretty sure you can't add a third fan there. And honestly, you don't need to, two fans in the front is more than enough for such a small case.

@@TheTechTank Thank you, I've been thinking to buy this case over a month but hesitate because the P400A have 3 front fans, and I afraid that PSU is not having an airflow from front fan.
@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
@@auradzrts691 If you can afford the P400A and like slightly bigger cases, then you should get it. It's a great case. That being said, you don't have to worry about your PSU getting air from the front of the case. The bottom of the case has a cutout for the PSU fan to intake fresh air, you just need to make sure the open part of your PSU is facing the bottom.

I would personally grab two 140mm Noctua fans to go in the front. Great performers and super quiet. Might even toss an extra one in for the top mounting point, but that would be a little overkill. Or if I wanted some RGB flair, I'd grab a 3-pack of Corsairs LL series fans.

ok so what happens if i add a 4th fan.I already have 2 intakes up front plus the exhaust on the back.If i were to add another on the top how would that set up be?intake or Exhaust for that extra fan?
@TheTechTank4 жыл бұрын
I have the exact same setup going right now. I set the top rear fant to exhaust. So two in the front for intake, and the other two at the back for exhaust. If you set the top fan to intake your CPU might run very slightly cooler, but it'll suck in a lot of dust.
