You are both such a joy! I smiled from ear-to-ear when you made a sympathetic "Mmmmm!" while watching Satoshi enjoy the almond tofu. That's long-term, loving couple stuff at it's best. 😊 Your enthusiasm made this visit to Kobe's Chinatown _very_ special, Shinichi. It's definitely on my travel wishlist now. ♥♥

I swear I could smell the pork buns that Satoshi was describing at 23:00. His expressions are so fun. Thank you both for going on the adventure in Kobe China Town. I watched your Tokyo Conveyor Belt Sushi Shop video. The streets look a lot like Young Street in Toronto. Kobe China Town doesn't look anything like China Town Toronto, so this is a great pleasure to watch you two discovering it. Thank you. Now back to the video! :D

I know it’s tough to wake up and be positive even about getting out there and enjoying the good parts of life. I love that you both are staying motivated. That is important during times of big change. You guys bring a lot of good to the world with your work. Shinichi and Satoshi, you are ambassadors to the world and to a better future.

The Peking Duck crepe with the veggies and sauce looked positively delicious. Thank you so much for finding all these little places. Seeing the sights when many of us cannot visit other places due to the craziness in the world right now. It's like being there with you guys when you do these street explorations. It's great seeing you both.

That steamed pork is usually paired with rice here and is considered a meal already. Whereas the one served with the steamed bun here is much much thinner slice and is usually considered a light savory snack. It is nice to see how different the street food in Japan Chinatown. The pork bun and duck crepe looks really yummy.

So fun to see. most of these Chinese foods we don't have here. And the China town is quiet crowded, a bit of the old atmosphere is back I think :) I think to one in Yokohama is so populair with tourists that some of the things have vanished that you do have here. It's so easy to just hop over from Tokyo to Yokohama but not to Kobe. If I have to choose one to try I want to try the annin dofu puar tea. Would be great to make a recipe for this, with different teas :)

Man, the Chinatowns here in Toronto don't have this many variety of dim-sums and street foods conveniently available. I'm impressed by the open displays of Zongzi/Chimaki at the Chinatowns in Japan. If you have a craving for the type of foods that were shown in the video you have to go to either T&T, Galleria or Nations Food and their locations are not always easy to get to.

Shinichi-han (to say it in proper Kinki dialect)...I think Kobe's chūka ryōri is so oishii because...it's in Kansai! I feel most at home in Yolohama or Machida or anywhere in Kanagawa...but the cooking and food culture in Kansai are just so terrific, including home cooking. I prefer soba cuisine in the Kanto area, and Tsukiji's sushi is hard to beat, but the Kansai region is less austere in many ways and I think the flavors of Kobe Chinatown represent the lusty deliciousness of Kansai foods!

how do you get to Kobe from Osaka Namba Station ? Where can you find the best & affordable Kobe beef in Kobe ?
@davidyip6418

To get from Osaka-Namba Station to Kobe, you can take a Rapid Express through train on the Hanshin Namba Line, which takes about 44 minutes and costs 410 yen. The Hanshin Railway also offers direct trains from Osaka-Namba Station to Kobe-Sannomiya Station, which takes about 45 minutes and costs 420 yen. Other ways to get from Osaka-Namba to Kobe include: Bus: Takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes and costs between 1600-1900 yen Subway: Take the Midosuji Line from Namba to Shin-Osaka, which costs 280 yen.
