Good work. I’ve found that I invariably sleep through the night without needing a pee break since using the CPAP device. This greatly enhances the quality of the sleep.
@CPAPReviews
@CPAPReviews 2 жыл бұрын
Certainly one of the benefits of the therapy! Would you like to know why that happens? I'll tell you anyway haha. So when you have sleep apnea there's inevitably less oxygen in the blood which results in increased heart rate which causes more blood filtration through the kidneys and as such more toilet visits. On top of this you also get releases of the hormone adrenaline after a pause in breathing which can also increase blood flow and kidney filtration. People also tend to wake up more and sometimes when you're more awake, you're more likely to go and pee haha. Cheers

I'll be flogging a lot of products this year and i don't want to send you broke :-) Also thanks for becoming a member (you already were a best mate though haha). Once again, please don't feel obliged too spend money. It's only if you can afford it and it's something you want to do :-). I do really like this product, i know it's not necessary but what i can say, it's just cool! I did put a little 3M strip on the surface plate magnet as my Evora full is pretty heavy when it's hanging off the magnet with that extra hose bit but i'm sure you'll be fine. Yep the little fella is a big boy now, walking around and growing teeth haha. Still screams the house down though! Hailey is turning into a lovely little lady indeed. Thank you Kath :)

@@CPAPReviews Thanks mate! I have a problem with my Bleep Dreamway in the middle of the night. The tube pulls away from the swivel and it is a bitch to get it reattached at 3am (going to talk to Stuart about it since it is a weak link I believe) so this adapter will take care of that little concern. I promise I won’t go broke. And…it is my pleasure to become a member. You have done so much for the CPAP community. Your concern, care and humor keep us all going legend.

This is actually one of the reasons I switched away from my old n20 was that the magnet clips would casually flip down and land on my pacemaker… hearing your chest start to beep will make you definitely not get a good night’s sleep. That said, if you have a top mount like on the dreamwear (and you’re careful about connecting/disconnecting… ie, don’t stick the hose to your chest) this is probably alright (in the same way iPhone MagSafe works fine just don’t hold it against your chest).

Having been off my CPAP machine since pre-covid I am once again using it. The reason I got off is I felt the nose cushions were suffocating me and I bought in to what a therapist told me, which was I could not use a full-face mask without shaving my beard. A friend informed me that was not true and I am using a full-face mask even with my beard now and it have made all the difference for me. Long story short I wanted to find updates on masks and accessories that will make things easier. I have watched a lot of content creators in the area of CPAP and have found you to be one of the best and most down to earth. Therefore, you have become my "Go-To" for all my reviews and information. I have already purchased a number of products that you have reviewed that I know will continue to simplify my CPAP experience. I will soon be purchasing the Evora Full CPAP Mask since it is now available in the states having just watched your review on it. I want to say thank you by subscribing and joining your community. I look forward to future videos that you will be adding and will recommend you to others.

My previous resmed CPAP mask clipped the hose into the front of the mask so I could: Pinch the release points, pull the hose from the mask, and then get up to use the restroom or if I had an itch I could attempt to scratch it without taking my entire mask off. It's one of the biggest draw backs to the resmed Quattro in my opinion because I have to completely remove it to move about or to scratch an itch.

As a type 2 diabetic rising to pee up to 3 times a night creates problems with disconnection and re hook up. As mentioned about the Quattro mask the reconnections cause difficulties,ie : premature failure at the mask elbow.The fingers snap off . For the amount of elbow spares I have had to buy, this doohickey will save me money.

I’m actually wanting to ask the cpap community a question that I hard a hard time finding answers for researching. I have recently lost a significant amount of weight. I am still using my cpap, however I have it set to auto and I am averaging anywhere from 5-6 pressure as my 90% average. This is on the original dream station. I have tried to sleep without it a couple nights and essentially felt fine the next day but I am having a hard time telling if I feel more tired the next day if I use it or don’t use. I’m wondering if the cpap can have the reverse effect if your using it but no longer really need it. I don’t want to stop all together yet bc I feel like treating my sleep apnea is really a good reason I am able to lose weight but I’m not sure if it’s good for me to continue use if I don’t really need it. I would appreciate some advice on this. Thanks!!!

I received the MedLock after seeing your realistic demonstration of it and decided to order one.🤩👍👍 Though I do not need to get up during the night very often when I do it is so handy to just disconnect the hose and take off. A question is there any issue with using the holder with my BiPAP on to hold the suction side of the hose after I disconnect the mask. Thanks for your informative and very funny videos.👍👍👍👍👍👍 I did use our discount code to get the 10% off thanks.

"is it something you need? absolutely not." My god no, I do need this, NOW (well. when i get a cpap machine again. one that won't kill me and all). nobody in my house seems to understand that putting on and taking of The Great Air Mask is a ritual in and of itself and that i can't go from zero to up in three seconds. this means both people who rely too much on me ask too many damn questions while i'm waking up, and while a wind tunnel is scouring my goddamn throat like an aerosol-based brillo pad. It's honestly why i stopped using my dreamstation even before the recall, as i couldn't react in time to their unmitigated, weapons-grade bullshit and nobody seemed to get that i rather liked the idea of an undamaged throat. This doesn't stop their hot nonsense, but it does mean i'll be able to react to it faster. so thank fucking god.

This looked like the answer for someone who gets up frequently during the night (In my case, to attend to puppy squabbles). I did see that it requires cutting a hose to install. My question is WHY? Most hoses and masks use a 22mm male or female connection. Why couldn't this be made with those fittings on each end, or cheap adapters to allow universal fit to most hoses and masks? I use two different masks, one of which has a spiral hose with a different size spiral than the Medlock. Now I have to order additional hoses and adapters to use this accessory. I have even considered having a machine shop bore out the hose spiral and make it a 22mm tapered end. For this much money, I shouldn't have to sacrifice or buy extra parts to use it. This could have been designed so much simpler. Good idea, very poor execution!

This just seems like a ridiculous idea to me, why would you unplug the hose when you can just take the whole mask off and turn the air off!! I have watched a few videos about the medlock and none of the videos show the hose connected to the cpap machine a couple don’t even show the cpap machine, it is never mentioned about if it affects the airflow or not since the magnet reduces the space in the tube. If you have to cut something off the hose or you have to force it into the hose, I’m pretty sure that would void any warranty on the machine and parts as you have made changes to it that the cpap company wouldn’t agree with!! Why spend $99 on this device when you could sit the mask and hose on your bedside table, if you have found that doesn’t work then it would be cheaper to put a hook on your bedside table and hang your mask from that!!

I love your videos, but I have a problem with using magnets in my breathing path. If you have ever used magnets you know they tend to pick up any ferrous metals from large pieces to Nano size ferrous dust particles. these metal objects have the potential of entering your lungs, such as a small paperclip or ferrous dust particles. Just run a magnet around your floor, and see what it picks up. No thanks, I'll spend my "C" note on something else.
