CHASE SAPPHIRE RESERVE ALL THE WAY! My wife and I have been traveling for 1 year around the world. We have found that the overall 2 best cards to go with are the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Barclaycard Arrival Plus. We originally did a ton of research on Upgraded Points' website and narrowed it down to these two for perks like 3x points on travel / restaurant expenses, Priority Plus, Global Entry, and with Barclaycard the flexibility to redeem points against purchases across the board. I do not in any way regret our card decisions, even knowing everything else out there. For those considering cards, check out Upgraded Points - they do a great job at breaking all the cards and affiliated programs down. BTW - I used to also have the Preferred card and loved it but to be honest, if you're traveling AT ALL each year, the Reserve card annual fee pays for itself, as you are allocated a $300 travel stipend each year, which only leaves you at $150 in an annual fee for SUCH A GREAT CARD. Cheers!

The points system is only fair as you obey the telemarketing rules (15 U.S. Code 6102 Telemarketing rules (a)(2) The Commission shall include in such rules respecting deceptive telemarketing acts or practices a definition of deceptive telemarketing acts or practices which shall include fraudulent charitable solicitations, and which may include acts or practices of entities or individuals that assist or facilitate deceptive telemarketing, including credit card laundering). American Express always pays me for using my card with cash back, not for political science of obeying the rules, or who I know who knows I obey them. Why would there be any legal or political bias with the adjusted gross income (AGI) of any consumer in these regards?

Hilarious how so many people commenting here actually think this is some sort of logical debate. Bloomberg are simply making money from advertising American express in this video and you are eating it up. Put your attention into something more productive and for your own gain.

well I am a loyal LH M& M member and do not fly nor like United , none of the credit cards mentioned in the TPG blogs/ reviews partner with my airline rewards program.... so What do I do? looks like even Amex would be useless to me?

I think But i'm not 100% sure I think this has a 2.7% foreign transaction fee. has a 95.00 annual fee and other than purchasing Delta material you only get 1 point per dollar. last I heard the Citibank thank you premiere had an annual fee of 150.00 They most likely took away the companions free airline tickets per year.

2:25 I would've thought the Bloomberg TV hosts would've known, but TPG isn't BS-ing one bit: archive.fortune.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2004/11/15/8191111/index.htm Link says similar situation occurred with Bank One (long acquired by JP Morgan/Chase) and United
