How can I help my two young daughters 3yo & 6yo delay Hashimotos onset? They already have thin brows, pink cheeks, everyone in my family is hashi. Should we feed them as if they’re already hashi and go gluten and dairy free as family? Anything else? What age should we test for antibodies or treat them?

Why does more negative bloodlines have hashimoto's and Graves disease particularly o negative? I was told because the environment is too harsh on our blood type. Is this true... could you please clarify if you get a chance.

You are great.I am waiting for your third book. And not surprise if they are not allowing you to do it. Thank you X3. Listening you reading your books allowed my creativity to create food with fatty acid. Three cases of mental illnesses while being on medication and having hospital or nursing home regular foods. After 3 meals each day all three of them have a complete remission.Even they did not have sedation effect of medications. I couldn't believe to my eyes and ears. And it lasted for several days without fatty acid food. They were 19 , 27 , and 78 , years old.It worked on all ages. One of them was hospitalized for 5 years.

I'm glad you uploaded this video I just was finishing my awful late night all time fav golden grahm's cereal in which I know is forbidden but it seems these days not a whole lotta fun except bad food. While watching your video I realized how foolishly ridiculous it is at my 50 year old self to be eating like this and especially with my condition, I have no Dr to turn to for support at least not with hashimoto's support so I've given up and upon turning to my subscriptions on yt I see Dr K uploaded a new video 30 mins ago. I have hashimoto's, diagnosed back in 2016 and I know I had it longer, as long back as a teen. Thank you very much for posting your video's about autoimmune hashimoto's.

Ethel, see my reply post to Fuzzy Bunny below, I have been suffering for years too, many years, and finally found a fix. There is hope, it now just takes a bit of will power. I think the iodine is key, it had me feeling like a teenager in a day or two, now I feel like I can conquer the world, along with my appetite.

Thank you for all your work and informative videos. I just have a question regarding the AIP: I have been following it for more than six weeks and noticed no change whatsoever. I have hashimotos and struggle with constant bloating, some fatigue etc. It was the third time going off gluten, soy, dairy as well: no difference. Could it be that to some, super restrictive omission is just not a key factor in managing this condition?

Unfortunately, some AIP foods are still immune-reactive for some people. You may have issues with FODMAPs for instance.

@@DatisKharrazian Thank you for the reply. I had tried leaving out fodmap food before and didn't notice any difference either. There is no rhyme or reason to my bloating it seems... I suspect constipation/not empyting bowels enough could also play a role and my cycle but it is frustrating to not find out what exactly causes it, because I can't pinpoint it.

@brigidx3672 you have to take supplements to heal the gut lining and rebuild the microbiome, diet alone is not enough, it just helps to lower the inflammation.

Great video! I'm being seen at Dr Brownstein's clinic here in Michigan for Hashimoto's and pre diabetic. They did all of the correct bloodwork that the Endocrinologists I saw would not do, due to insurance restrictions, imagine that. Bunch of quacks in my book that did nothing but lie to me for years, my own GP included. Back to Dr B, after getting my bloodwork back at Dr B's, I was put on 25mg of LugoTabs (Iodine) from Hakala Labs along with some other supplements, Vitamin A (drops, water soluble), the B's, heavy on C, the D's, and a multi vitamin. Nothing weird. I have more bloodwork coming that is in search of any other nasty things that I may have, like parasites and such, waiting on those results along with a heavy metal hair test... I am on the diet that Datis is describing in this video. I stick to eggs, poultry, sausage and bacon, fish and veggies, lots of water... Also, Celtic sea salt, two teaspoons a day, sip in a glass of water throughout the day... I like to fast, so that is the plan to cleanse my system, eat the prescribed foods, avoid the stuff I love, and fast. I like saturated fats for energy, so I try to find that in foods I eat and stay away from carbs. My energy levels are already up, I am now sleeping like I feel a healthy person should, aches and pains are nearly gone, weight is coming off, the lethargy I have suffered from for years is nearly gone, brain fog is going away, etc. This feeling good started almost immediately, like in 48 hours, not weeks like it has in the past. I have done this regime before, but the results were never what I expected, at least not like this! The key for me this time is the Iodine intake, all of the other doctors I have seen have told me Iodone could kill me. Well, I have to say BS to that! I even have my mother taking Iodine, yes we consulted my doctor on this, as she had an Oblation of her thyroid years ago... I put her on the iodine, 25mg, she has been taking lavoxile (sp?) for years. She has stopped shaking and is actually feeling much better. Iodine was key to our health, that is what turned the tide along with diet. I would head over to dr B's website, do a Duck Duck Go search for him, as Google has him banned as he is a Frontline Doctor. He has books on the subject that are worth a look. Most of his work is out there for free if you can find it. He has two books that you can get immediately to read on a kindle or other pad, for just a couple of dollars. I would get the correct bloodwork before starting any protocols, but that is just me. You can have that done at most any lab, Quest Labs is one nationwide outfit, just request what you would like, no doctor needed. But, if you have a proper diagnosis, which has taken me years to actually get, see my side note... On a side note... Hakala labs has a little supplement kit for $51, with the Iodine Lugo Tabs, 25mg, and Celtic Sea Salt, just a tip... And no, I do not work for them, but take their products. They are a compounding pharmacy in Montana that makes these supplements in house. They ship quickly and are inexpensive for what you get, the quality is top notch, I feel like a damn teenager! Diet and Iodine, it works. I figure $50 a month in supplements is all I need, along with the proper diet and periodic fasting to cleanse my system. Go this route and you can cut your food bill in half... ;-) I am not a doctor and I am not giving medical advice, just telling you what is working for me.

@@michaelwright1602 I’m so glad you’ve found what works for you! We don’t realise how sub optimal our quality of life is until we start getting healthy. I’m in Africa, so unfortunately, the iodine deficiency test isn’t done by any labs that my doctor knows of. I took 1 drop of Lugol’s and felt an energy surge. I know the skin patch test is inaccurate but it’s better than nothing so I’ll give it a go.

@@fuzzybunny3235 Dr B, according to what I was told, starts with 25mg of iodine. I did that and felt great! I took 50mg this morning and am really humming along. I am going to play with my dosages and see what feels best. Right now, somewhere between 25 and 50mg a day should be about right for me. Diet too... I ate a naughty food yesterday and crashed... Will not be doing that again. As far as the iodine intake, start like I was told and make adjustments from there. Work it up gradually and see how you feel. I would not just drop 50mg, but start at 25 and slowly work the dosage up and see where you plateau. They also told me to take Celtic Sea Salt, the salt sold on the Hakala Lab site. Two teaspoons a day in water. So, I don't think we can overdose on Iodine if we simply use some commonsense.

@@michaelwright1602 I agree that iodine can help. I took natural thyroid for six years and never felt good on it. With my provider's help, I titrated thecdose down and finally weaned off the Rx in Sept 2020. Then, in Dec 2020 I started taking Lugol's 2% drops. I worked up a drop every third day for two months. When I got to taking 10 drops per day (25mg) I felt jittery and my throat felt tight. I stopped taking iodine for about a week, then started again. I had my TPO and TAb checked at the 4-month mark. My numbers had increased a lot. So I backed way down using 2 drops a day (5mg) for 5 months, then tested again. The antibodies dropped by half. Dr Bernstein suggests it can take a while for the body to regulate, and mine did. I knew I would be testing thyroid levels regularly, and I'm glad I did initially, or I wouldn't have had proof that I was harming myself with too much iodine. I hope people will just be careful, note symptoms, and check their blood every 3-4 months. My thyroid isn't perfect now, but numbers are pretty low, and I feel so much better taking iodine than I ever did taking prescriptive thyroid meds.
