Grateful that several of my cousins were able to convince their elderly mothers to have their DNA tested. This is the closest I'm going to get to parental DNA as my parents have both passed and am grateful to have this data available to me. Especially grateful as a couple of these ladies have recently passed away as well.

Thank you, Diahan! Here's a question I have and perhaps others as well: what if your parents passed away long before DNA was a thing? What if you and your siblings have all tested on Ancestry DNA (4 siblings in my case). Are there tools that help reconstruct parents DNA from their children's?

If you've tested four siblings, you are doing awesome! They've covered about 93.8% of their parents' genome! Test on all the sites and transfer all 4 kits and they've got almost all of what they would have if their parents were alive.
