Omniknight is really good right now making him even easier to learn for beginners. The small mistakes you might make being unfamiliar with the hero are balanced out by the hero being broken right now.

Best hero to play with friends when your just starting out is Spirit Breaker in my opinion. You play it position 4 so you don't have to be good at last hits, don't worry about wards and you can be well away from your team because you have no idea what your doing and your friends just tell you who to charge. He was the first hero I ever played and it worked really well. Without friends you have to be careful about charge targets and not over extending so he doesn't transition over to solo play for a literal beginner imo.
@AlexanderCoccia3 жыл бұрын
A neat perspective! Thanks for sharing that! Spirit Breaker is a lot of fun :D

Hello since i'm new to dota i wanted to ask a thing, what is the purpouse of a offlaner? does he have to farm a lane (top/bot) the start farming the jungle (idk if it's called like that in dota), or move to lanes after farming some waves/monsters?
@AlexanderCoccia3 жыл бұрын
The offlaner is responsible for disrupting the farm of the opposing safe lane carry in the laning stage. Then, offlaners usually take on the role of the initiator in teamfights. Let me link my guide to the OFFLANE, one sec!

@@AlexanderCoccia Excellent thank you Alex. So I gave Void Spirit an attempt in mid lane pub game today (after playing against bots few games). I didn't lose my lane by struggle to find his role mid-end game. Is he an initiator, ganker, counter-initiator, lane-pusher... ? I do remember the enemy team zooming in on me each battle - that was crazy.

Came over to Dota from league. I kinda get why it isnt as popular tbh. Heros are very overdesigned, reminds me of WoW. Giant shoulderpads, way too much detail on things that dont need it, weapons that look like someone just stapled random bullshit to them, every part of the characters has to be moving at all times, VFX effects got slapped on as many things as possible. Theyre also a lot less personable due to the names and relative characterlessnes. League gives its characters a lot of lore and actual names so players can get invested into them while dota's are a lot more bland and its names are more descriptors then anything. Axe, cause hes got a axe. Treant protector, cause hes a treant. Theres some issues with the tutorials, which is a problem if your game is a lot more comolex then its biggest competitor, but the heroes are the worst. Theres so much going on at all times they hurt to look at, and because of the before mentioned issue with personability youre not really drawn to or able to get invested in any of the characters. Its like League developed with the times in a lot of places and dota just kinda got stuck.
