I got a natural eyewash a friend recommended years ago, with an eye cup, I felt like a new woman! I ran out a year later and have not been able to find it since. Cannot even recall the name or brand. So frustrating. Even worse, I see absolutely no eyelashes with more natural ingredients on the market.

I just ordered it, thank you. I hope it works, for I have severe gland atrophy (80% of the lower right lid, 70% of the lower left, 35% of the upper right, 30% of the upper left) and I feel as if my life is ruined, especially as I work as a software developer. Is there any hope? I did a full cycle of IPL and soon will start the fitting process for sclerals.

If it had not been so expensive I had bought one right away... :/ I use an eye massager bought on amazon. It has heat (40-45 degrees celcius, u can regulate it), vibration(feels soft - enough to stimulate the meibomian glands? maybe...) and IR(I don't use that myself). I have not tried this Nulids so I can't compare, but I do feel a relief directly after using it (only had it a couple of weeks so long term improvement i do not know). I really like the heat feature, as it is kind of hard to have time to do the massage (I do the one you have in one video - thank you for that! :) ) after a heat treatment (I use Blephasteam instead of warm compresses) before the skin gets cold again. It is a lot cheaper and has a metal tip so i just disinfect it and wash it off after use. It of course do not have the same scientific ground... and not the cleaning scrub effect you describe. Unfortunately swedish doctors don't seem to assesses the cause of the dry eye unless u go to a private clinic and pay for it yourself, so I don't know why my eyes are dry, that is a problem. I feel the problem may have been there a little before, but after one eye infection(almost one year ago) and several treatments with antibiotics later (at this point I am not sure the doctors treated the right thing - they saw red/irritated eyes and gave me antibiotics - but maybe that was just dry eyes most of the time when I felt the antibiotics didnt help much...), so I am thinking maybe the antibiotics worsened this dry eyes symptom. Is that something you recognize from patiens?

@@joselinemartin873 years. I was one of the first to try it. The biggest con is the cost. It’s $1 per tip and you have to dispose of it after use. This sounds really interesting, but I am shocked the tips are meant to be disposable despite being made from silicon! If the tips are silicon, couldn't they just be boiled and reused? Silicon is even worse at breaking down than plastic. The need to keep repurchasing new tips, despite them being made of silicon, seems like a bit of a ploy to keep making ongoing money after purchase on the part of NuLids - everything is subscription these days, and this is another iteration of that. If a silicon menstrual cup can be boiled and reused, and that is involved in some serious bodily fluid, then surely these tips that have been on your eyelids could be sanitised too. If I were to purchase this, I would for sure just save the tips and have a weekly or monthly boiling sesh to sterilise them. Just to clarify - my little rant was just at NuLids designing this product to have this wasteful element. I found your video really interesting. Thank you.

I completely agree with you (I didnt even think of it as a rant lol) So many things in medicine and even more recently, everything has some sort of built in obsolescence. I can only imagine in a few years new cars will charge you 10 dollars to turn the engine on (conveniently charged wireless through your phone to your credit card). As some sort of "safety" measure. I am sure there is a way to clean them, although I dont think I can legally give advise on that. (btw my wife uses the silicone menstrual cup and she says it is a game changer)

@@DoctorEyeHealth How about soaking in a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution? Since the tip is silicone, the HP shouldn't hurt it. I've been using warm compresses on my eyes for years and it makes a world of difference. The give-away was noticing that my dry eyes were worse in the winter. The warmth of a folded washcloth soaked in comfortably hot water (for about 5-8 minutes) and resting with eyes closed makes my eyes much more comfortable, requiring only rare drops. It's a useful side benefit to have a reason to just stop for a short rest.

This machine seems too harsh on my eyelids but I am more concerned about the eye socket itself because of the vibrations. I remember comments on avoiding the use of vibrating tools to avoid retina detachments.. I know this is only 30 secs twice a day but still, I added a layer of cotton between the eye and the machine for now. Will update this as relevant. Why there are no public reviews on it is questionable to me..

Do u think this at home treatment would be the way to go? I do use Ocusoft lid eye pads 2 a day. I don't feel like I have dry eyes, but I do have Blenpharitis. Any thoughts? Kevin

Just wondering if youre still using the Nulids to this day? And if you do, do you see long term benefits from using it? I see that you were using it twice a day in the beginning, do you recommend doing it or avoid doing so? Im having a real bad time using the night time ointment with the device as it seems to leave alot of ointment all over my eyelids afterwards and it burns and stings my eyes even though I try to wipe it off theres always this greasy film that remains and its unbearable, I might begin using a foam like you do in your demonstration.

I had mild dryness and allergies prior to having refractive surgery. What type of dry eye is usually caused by refractive surgery?

Usually, the dry eye caused by refractive surgery is aqueous deficient dry eye, but likely, there is a mix of both aqueous and evaporative.

I had that done in Boston by Dr Foster. Worked for me for about 7 months. Was going to have procedure again and found out they do not do it anymore. They bought a lipiflow machine, $1200 not covered by insurance. The probing was covered. Unfortunately, I have not found anyone else who does it. It was the one thing that gave me noticeable improvement and it provided a decrease in fullness/swelling. Good luck!

I agree with other people's comments that this device is priced extremely expensively! In fact I would say that the people making it are actually greedy! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about whether it works or not, it probably does. That is not the point at all! The point is, it probably only costs the manufacturer about $100 to make this thing! IF THAT! It's basically an electric toothbrush with an LED! The manufacturer is just plain greedy! *And then to try to influence you to buy a brand-new tip every day, I find, is ridiculous and offensive! $330 for the device! $365/year for the tips! Even if this works, the price is offensive!*
