I'm interested in this. I use a kobo e-ink reader at night because of severe insomnia I can't be looking at any normal tablet or laptop or TV screens... While your review is good it didn't really delve into the tech too much. is this still just a regular tablet screen as far as light is concerned? or is it drastically reduced light suitable as an e-ink replacement for insomnia???

I have 14 inch monster with NXTpaper. Its insane. Google books looks like actual books on it. You turn pages and it looks way better than anything on eink - and i have scribe and few other eink devices. I don't know what i the purpose of "colour eink mode" as colours without it look much better with no glare. I hope they will make small one in ipad mini shape. That would be a kindle killer.

I tried it and it’s too big, the proportion is not comfortable and it lagged already the first day. I would love a smaller tablet with ipad size and an updated processor.

Looking to replace a 2019 Kindle and an ageing Tab S6 lite. This seems perfect. Do you have to get a 5G plan? That would really kill the viability of this device.

Nah, works with Wi-Fi, except you have to deal with Verizon notifications to activate a plan. Annoying, but I can live with it. Thanks for watching! ✌️

Biggest mistake is locking that model to Verizon only distribution.
