I took my ranger out for the first time golfing. I had my waver form printed out but the course manager said they did not need it and no trail fee..Yes! It was a blast and the only set backs were loss of concentration on the first few holes..because I was having fun riding it..and once when my towel hanging from my bag got caught in back wheel. Another plus is you can ride ahead and make a polite request that the group ahead play faster..Haha

I live in Southern California and have found some courses extremely reluctant to allowing you to use an ebike as a golf cart. I have taken to replacing the phrase, "ebike" to "pedal assist bicycle". It's surprising how frightened a course is of an electric bike or ebike here. But get the bike setup with the rack and your clubs, offer them the Waiver (replacing "ebike" with "Pedal Assist Bicycle" and let them know you're only going to go as quick as the group in front of you and they usually capitulate. With that said, I love my "GolfEbike" (Divnick) rack. I use the bike as a golf cart a couple times a week. I've modified my PAS settings to 0-7 and use either level 2 (25%) or level 3 (35%). At my age, I need all the exercise I can get. I still pedal, and even ride the bike with clubs attached to my local course. It's 8 miles away. There's plenty of power for me to get to the course, play a round and get back ... And I'm not a lightweight.

I bought a rack from Divnick golf for my ebike. There are about a half dozen courses around the Milwaukee area that allow their use. I’ve used this setup for many years and am now on my second battery. I hope this catches on more. It definitely speeds up the game and makes it much more fun!

I work at the courses @ Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort...Baytowne, Raven and Links courses and can tell you right now most courses and especially resort courses won't allow these. We have problems now with guests in the resort thinking the golf course and its cart paths are bicycle paths and we're constantly having to get them off the course. These will also represent a problem by those golfers who like to consume alcohol while playing golf for renting purposes, you would have to ban alcohol use while renting these as we get problems as it is with golfers drinking and damaging carts, flipping them, etc....and these would be more dangerous with alcohol. Then there is the GPS that we use in our carts to keep track of pace of play, cart locations such as keeping them off greens, cart paths on cart path only days due to very wet fairways, out of parking lots, etc....

I normally walk the course to keep my exercise going since I can’t run anymore, but this would be a great addition to add some biking…one question, did you find the stand that comes out with the bag dig into the ground at all? That bracket looked a bit thin on the bottom and might dig into softer ground?

It depends on the courses. None of the courses we play in the Dayton Ohio area charge a trail fee...just the normal walking fee. Check out the Finn golf scooter. I’ve used them and straddling your golf bag keeps your weight perfectly centered on the bike.
@stevedivnick
@stevedivnick Жыл бұрын
We like the Finn Cycles too...as they help to advance the "single-rider" options. But the ebikes are about 1/3rd the cost, and balance is automatic...you don't even feel the weight on the back. One of our customers who also owns a Finn described the functional difference this way. "With the Finn Cycle, you come to a stop beside your ball, get off, use your foot to push down the kick stand, walk around to the front of the bike to pull your club, take your shot, walk around to the front again to put the club back, then back to the side, raise the cycle upright, push the kick stand back up with your foot, then get on and take off." "With the Golf Ebike, you come to a stop, push the top of the bag into the kick stand mode as you get off, your right hand is already right there next to your clubs, take your shot, drop your club back into the bag, stand the bike up (the bag carrier automatically goes back to the upright position) and take off." And of course, he likes the fact that it is a pedal bike so he can get as much, or as little exercise as he wants. He can use all throttle and ride it like a scooter, or he can pedal with as much assist as he desires.

@stevedivnick 2 жыл бұрын
The Finn Cycles are cool... Regarding your center-line comment, it is usually surprising to people that they can't even feel the bag of clubs on the side of our ebikes. Balance is automatic. And the clubs are quite a bit handier on the side than out the front. But we are in favor of all single-rider devices so we can speed up the game. We like the fact that our ebikes are a lot less expensive than the Finn and other riders, that they can be folded for easy transport, that they provide as much or as little exercise as you want, and they can be used for many other things like family rides, errands, even to-and-from work. Nice review.. You did not mention the price tag on that bad boy... Some of the draw back I can see is you probably need a helmet when driving, and I don't believe too many golf course would allow that on the course, they don't allow pedal bikes...Thanks...

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. kzbin.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

I already have a bike just like that with a rack. I wonder if they just sell the attachment. Though, I highly doubt my course would allow this thing.

Bag mount on right side as well? for left hander?
@stevedivnick
@stevedivnick 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can mount it on the right side (we have a picture of that in our Gallery on golfebikes.com/gallery/), although most people get on and off the left side of their bikes. Also, you can just ride up to the right side of the ball, and then you stand and swing between your bike and the ball. That is how most of my leftie customers do it. See the first video of a leftie on golfebikes.com/bag-carrier/.

@stevedivnick 2 жыл бұрын
One of the benefits is that it costs about 1/3rd the cost of a Finn, and you can fold it for easier transport. And of course, you can also pedal and get as much exercise as you want. Come check out our "Course Response" page on www.golfebikes.com/golf-courses

Could you let us know what clubs allow this on their courses. If you don’t know does the manufacture know. I spoke to a former PGA Club person and he said Micheal Jordan’s club and several others in FL allow it

About half the courses are already welcoming ebikes and only charge a walking fee. The others are initially cautious, but it is only a matter of time as ebikes are so ideal for golf. We are also offering golf courses the chance to get some ebikes and rent them out which will generate new revenue for golf courses. You can read more about "course responses" on www.golfebikes.com/golf-courses, and the best way to ask them for permission to ride. @@stevedivnick Steve, I appreciate your response but I have to say, I play 4 rounds a week in the SoCal area and I have yet to see an ebike on any course. I personally would love to use one, but I think this is way ahead of the present market and I’m not about to purchase one and be an evangelist in hopes that it will be allowed.
@stevedivnick
@stevedivnick 2 жыл бұрын
@@edwalt3157 @Ed Walt I sure do understand. Ebikes are new to the golf industry...just introduced at the January PGA Show. And I kind of like your use of the word, "evangelist" because that is what our early customers are doing. Would it help you to "evangelize" if I paid you $100 for every ebike and carrier sale you refer? That is how we are growing our market...paying our customers to show-and-tell their ebikes and carriers...something they already like doing. But the $100 motivates additional effort...to courses, email lists, offering our Hole-In-One Win-A-Bike Contests at charity golf outings, etc.

Do they still charge you cart price? Or is it walking price?
@stevedivnick
@stevedivnick 2 жыл бұрын
Many of the courses in our area only charge a walking fee. I know that some courses will charge a "trail fee" that will be more than walking but less than renting. But I predict that competition as ebikes become more and more popular will press toward just a walking fee...similar to when golfers bring their own electric bag carrier...for which no courses charge extra. @Irimis
@Irimis 2 жыл бұрын
@@lkae4 In optimal conditions walking is slower, in real world with normal golfers its going to depend. I've been in walking groups that plays way faster than a cart group, not just based on skill but the guys in the cart all going to one ball, watching then driving to the next ball even when the ball does not belong to someone in the cart. I personally hate the courses that say its a pace of play thing because when I walk I am quicker than a good amount of people in carts.
@lkae4

@@Irimis Maybe. But fast golfers on a cart will smoke faster golfers walking any day. But I think doubles carts are part of the problem. I would like to see some courses bring out singles electric carts and see how that goes
