Try these top 5 exercises for foot and ankle pain and hypermobility issues in 5 minutes. I’ve found that working little and often is a key to pain-free movement in hypermobility. As always, please avoid any exercise that does not feel right for you.

I’d also really appreciate a video on hypermobile fingers, and thumbs in particular. The base joint of the thumbs are is my most hypermobile joints and cause me significant pain and lack of function. Unfortunately an NHS physio attempt had me wake up in agony at 4am the next morning. I trust you can make it zebra friendly.

These are amazing!! Just a few days ago I when to a rheumatologist who told me my joint pain is from my hypermobility, I've been doing your exercises and experienced relief that I've never gotten before, thank you so much!!!!!

Really helpful and I look forward to more videos to stabilize my joints and eventually get stronger. Is there an adaptation to Pilates that can be made to my total gym? Thanks again!

These are great! How many repetitions? My ankles are too flexible and this feels good as a way strength it!

Glad they helped. With reps, be guided by your body. But if just starting out, start low with as little as 2-3 reps.

I now have Hallux Ridgitus. I had a failed surgery on the right one and it's now even worse. Anyhow, I can't lift my big toes. I tried the tennis ball exercise and did not engage the toes. I could feel it in my calves :) obviously all the usual spots up the chain are affected. I'm having difficulty getting my glutes to fire.,any suggestions? Thank you for these videos.

My feet have been hurting a lot lately, especially my heel. What type of shoes do u think are best for EDS. Flat or with a higher heel? I overpronate and have a low arch, and I have tried both but i dont really know which one is better to get used to having a healthy position Thank uu

It’s so tricky to say as everyone is different and different foot shapes. But in general totally flat shoes are going to need a lot of length of back line to avoid pain.

Depends how young there are - if they are willing to try. My Hypermobile son has appeared in some of my videos.

Just found this as I am having an issue whereby pointing the toes on my left foot feels like my ankle is going to snap and go too far. I have hypermobility and had microfracture on the inside of that ankle bone in 2013 to act as new 'cartilage' - i used to run. Is it safe to do this as I'm worried I'll dislocate my ankle. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment. Please don’t do anything that is not suitable for your body. Avoid anything that causes pain or feels not right for you.
