I feel like this episode does a really good job of emphasizing what one could arguably consider one of the recurring themes of the series so far. Betrayal. Specifically, the betrayal of ideals. Every one of the main characters believed in specific ideals. The ghoul (in the past) believed in a freedom of the American dream, Max believed in the Brotherhood being saviors of the wasteland, and Lucy believed that people at their core were good. In this episode, each of our main characters has their ideals betrayed by people they trusted. It was really well done.

New Vegas looks completely battered, with broken walls and no landmarks surrounding it (like crop farms) so something happened after whatever ending of Fallout New Vegas they make canon. Other things I hope get explained is the Moldover's tie with Lucy's mom, the NCR, and how she hardly aged. Maybe she was an overseer herself at one point?

The overall impression is good, it turned out to be an interesting season, I liked it. Of the advantages, I am ready to highlight the maximum attention to detail in the world - decorations, various objects, TV commercials, comics - they were very meticulously transferred to the adaptation, it turned out perfectly.💎 The music for the series was written by Ramin Javadi, but even without him, the series is full of cool compositions, like The Ink Spots - I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire. Of course, the current state of the NKR and the way Shady Sands was treated were upset. As a result, all the events that happened to the city were explained, saying who did it and why. Some questions were raised by some computer chips inserted into the series. At the beginning, a machine gun cannot hit the doctor from the Enclave, then the paladin is caught on a hook, then the steam pack instantly heals all wounds. I understand that this may still work in games, but in the series it should be shown a little differently. Well, in the piggy bank of questions - it is not clear how Moldaver lived up to the events of the series, nothing was said about her cryofreezing.🤔 The rejuvenation of McLachlan is some kind of shame, well, similar things have already been done in TV Show, why it was done so terribly is not clear. In general, this is not a movie adaptation of any particular part, but it was pulled from a lot of places, as Sweet-Sweet noticed. There's a chip, and a father, and a freeze. Well, some locations are just a hodgepodge of Bethesda games, as if they wanted to please the fans of the games, but come on, it's not critical. As an adaptation of a series of PC games, it turned out quite well. are waiting for the second season.🙏🏻

A lot of the messed up Vault ideas they mentioned in this episode could be found in the games. Most of them are uninhabited by the time the player visits, but you can access computer terminals and hack into them (like how Lucy's brother did in the show) to piece together their backstory. It's cool!

Love the intro 😂❤ 2:40 Maximus got a really harsh wake up call, after the last few episodes where he's been in Lucy's company. 4:00 you can see how attracted Maximus is to the prospect of finally building a home, finally be accepted by the Brotherhood. In that moment, all thoughts of Lucy went up in smoke. 5:26 first reference to "Bud's Buds" 5:39 you don't think much of this ghoul when you first see it - just another typical villain display of power but as the episode progresses and we find out more about the story - it hits you right in the feels, especially Moldaver's last moments. 8:20 little crazy robot - what a cruel (at least from our perspective) fate for Bud, the jovial, management obsessed fella from Vault-Tec. 9:33 this is probably one of the most chilling scene in the series so far - a handful of people decided the future of the country and set it on the path it is in the current timeline, with the insane experiments, the irradiated wasteland above ground, every single bad thing. 11:10 Barb's speech really broke Cooper, he had so much faith in his wife steering the company in a better direction when in truth, she was at the heart of it, coming up with the idea to drop the bombs first, to make the Vaults profitable. 11:50 and just like that, we finally see what experiment was run in Vaults 31-32-33 - creating super managers for whenever the surface would be reclaimed. Talk about corporate evil. 12:35 it was speculated that over 400k Vaults were needed to shelter the entire american population but Vault-Tec only made 100, all while advertising how they'd save America. 13:53 proud of you, Magy! You figured it out perfectly. 14:55 the revelation to really seal the deal for us, the viewers. No wonder the Ghoul hates the MacLeans. 17:02 it's actually reassuring to see Max still remembers his priority, Lucy. 18:30 seeing in real time how the myth of the perfect father gets deconstructed in front of Lucy, how devastated she is - that was a heartbreaking moment. 20:30 and with that one scene, your feelings get absolutely crushed. It also explains how Moldaver entered Vault 32, prior to episode 1 - Lucy's mom didn't need her device anymore. 21:45 poor Norm, finding out the truth in such a brutal manner and then forced to go into cryo-sleep to survive, all because Bud the brain is just as psychotic as he was back when he had a body. 22:54 "I loved your mother" but I didn't really love her, or any of you kids. Hank MacLean, father and husband of the year award goes to him. 24:00 the song choice fits Maximus and Lucy pretty well. 24:57 the Ghoul was even more epic than usual in this scene. He deleted the Brotherhood soldiers like they were nothing. 27:56 excellently said, Magy. 28:17 "Do you want another autograph, young Henry?" - what a badass entrance from the Ghoul! Shitty Daddy dissapeared FAST after seeing the Ghoul. 30:20 how can anyone refuse such a tempting offer? It's nice to see Lucy and the Ghoul finally working together. 30:51 you understood perfectly, Magy, that was mercy, for Lucy's mom. 31:26 what a completely different "Okey dokey" we got here, compared to the first episode. 32:52 and that's how another fake story, another myth is born. Maximus, too defeated, just accepted it. 35:55 you're right, Magy, no matter how many "factions" you remove, people will always fight, even amongst each other. They have different views, different ideas and those will eventually clash. Your discussion afterwards was fantastic, loved listenin to your thoughts. Thank you for the beautiful reaction, not just to this episode but to the whole series. You did an incredible job ❤

Just a couple of other points, off the top of my head - we know there were also other experiments running in vaults 31, 32 and 33. We don't know what they were. The script is brilliant, there are a lot of details and breadcrumbs in every scene, right from the start. And a lot of details and easter eggs for Fallout fans and gamers, pity that you can't see them if you didn't play Fallout games. For example, Lucy's polite speech with her gun pointing on the person with whom she's speaking - it's just joke about players, which in games start speech with their guns out - and this affects the game events and how other characters react on such players. Even during the fight in the 1st episode - vault inhabitants can't fight properly, they just don't have brutality in his minds. But those, from 31-th vault, "management" - could. Because they aren't from the vaults, they are "pre-war" people. When Hank saved Lucy from her "husband", he after that drowned him in the pickles. Look at the Lucy's face in the moment - such violence still unnatural and disturbing for her. Maximus in the end lost his dream - to have home in the vault. Yes, he loves Lucy and wants to be with her, but she told him, that they won't return in the vault. That, and what Lee Moldaver said to him (that "he can try") and proposition from cleric "to build the own home" and, as you have said - "The Power" itself, can affects his decisions all together. And thank you for the reactions, girls, you and your reactions are just charming :)

What a great reaction all through the series. Thankyou. My thoughts at the end was the Ghoul seemed to be torturing Lucy in the earlier episodes, but really it was a series of tests to toughen her up and open her eyes to the reality of the world, but at the same time an ulterior motive to recruit her to team up, because it would be a step closer to getting the answers he wanted from Vault-Tec.
@Dilligff6 ай бұрын
I find it particularly heartwrenching that Lucy's mom was NOT feral but rendered so damaged that it was impossible to communicate.
@rhonafenwick56434 ай бұрын
Honestly, I couldn't sleep the first day after watching the season finale because I couldn't get Lucy's mother's fate out of my mind. In some ways it makes Hank even more of a monster than if he'd just killed her outright

The momebt you realize that lucys memories of being in the sun with her mom was real and that she had been gaskit into believing it wasnt.

@@arturovandeley who said drugged?
@arturovandeley6 ай бұрын
@@Kronos74 My apologies, Im not an english natural speaker so I misunderstood "gaskit" for something refering to "gas" 😂. Anyway, the show kinda leaves that point blurry, doesnt it? How did Lucy ever forget she came to the surface. I cant imagine an episode more significant and memorable in a vault dwellers life.
@Kronos746 ай бұрын
@@arturovandeley well my typo didn't help things as it was supposed to be gaslit so partly my fault. It's all good and your English is impressive.

You guys should totally check out Twin Peaks! The actor for Hank, Kyle Maclachlan, plays the lead and he’s the most wholesome and lovable character plus he was very handsome in it lol. It’s a popular show and an insane supernatural murder mystery filled with drama, romance, horror, and amazing characters, well worth a watch imo.

Not a gaming channel. But if they do, I hope they start with the more modern Fallout 4. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are far better role playing experiences (especially Fallout New Vegas imo), but so dated and kinda hard to get into I only recommend them as first games for already die hard role players.

So Vault 31 was for pre-war management. Vault 33 was for breeding and eugenics for future Vault 31 management residence to repopulate with, and I'm guessing that Vault 32 was for the Vault 33 rejects of the breeding program. I'm it sure if I have it right about Vault 32 though.

The one thing I hate about this show is it’s trying to poetry that the companies are the ones who instigated the bombs dropping. For all of fallout’s existence this has never been the case, and it simply makes no goddamn sense. You cannot convince me that any company thinks it can make money in a post apocalypse. Since this show is considered canon, I really hope they fix this in season 2. Else, I’m just going to pretend this one tidbit doesn’t exist.
@RandomCommentsofDoom6 ай бұрын
To be fair, the show doesn't say for sure that Vault Tech dropped the first bomb, just that they were willing to do it. It's also not about making money for them, it's about removing competition. If they become a true monopoly like they intend then money won't matter. What do you need money for if you can already do whatever you want?

The final concludes with the legendary a favorite city of Fallout saga... New Vegas 🍷😎👌
@Jim901176 ай бұрын
For years and years fans had to speculate about who dropped the bombs between the US and China, there was always little bits of lore and scraps of evidence that pointed to Vault-Tec but never anything concrete, as one of those fans that always believed it was them this is a really great resolution, the corporate scene around the table is one of the most heartless and cold scenes in all of tv history.
@Mopark256 ай бұрын
This isn't concrete either, it just shows that they wanted to drop the bomb. The real answer to who dropped the first bomb is: no one knows. No one knowing is the point, because it could have been anyone. And, really, what does it matter? The first bomb is just the straw the broke the camel's back.

In the first episode, one of the dads at the birthday party comments that Cooper is performing at a birthday party to pay alimony. I guess we know why they got divorced.
@leeneufeld41407 ай бұрын
My predictions for next season: Coop's wife finds out he heard what was said, she contrives to have him labelled a communist thus destroying his career. She divorces him, and leaves him feeling betrayed on every possible level. The ending here does imply that she got their daughter into the vault (presumably in New Vegas - the city shown at the very end), but if this season taught me anything, it's don't trust what seems to be :) I am really looking forward to seeing where this goes!

The shows timeline is legit canon and takes place after the games. New vegas is in ruins as we can see i cant wait for season 2 and ehat theyll do in new vegas. Also cant wait to see deathclaws (deadliest creatures in the wasteland) since they and super mutants have been confirmed to be present in season 2. I hope you play the games soon. It was always hinted at but to have the confirmation that it was vault tec and the enclave that started the war simply for corporate greed is so unhinged
