Wow! Mike, haven’t you had some rain, my friend. That is just incredible. It’s good to see you are getting some wood collected.

Hello Mike, wow that’s a lot of rain. 6 inches here. Major flooding. We live very close to the Shenandoah River in Virginia, nice looking wood👍🇺🇸

@@outdoorswithlarryrobin Thanks. Yes. It was a lot to get all at once. There was flooding of some highways. I had to keep a close eye on my own road to keep the ditches and culverts open. We had one culvert plug up and water crossing the road but we got it cleared before any major damage to the road. Thanks for turning in. 👍🏻🔥🪵🇺🇸

@@MDoodie11B1P Thanks. I’m really happy with the equipment that I have. Everything from the Wolferidge splitter/conveyor and the bundle machine to the Kubota track loader have all been great.

That's a ton of rain, Mike! I really like your splittin shed! I'd like to build something like that here in the near future. On another note, you could tap those Big Leaf Maples and make syrup! 👍🍁

@@NeighborlyHomestead Thank you. I built the shed with Douglas Fir beams that I milled with an Alaskan chainsaw mill. It all came from one tree. I salvaged the roof from an old goat barn. That is a great tip about tapping the big leaf maple. I had never considered that and didn’t even know it was an option. 👍🏻🔥🪵🍁

@BigWoodMountain that's pretty neat! You can tap any type of maple tree. 👍🍁

Yeah, definitely lots of rain up here too.. we didn't do too bad on the wind storm either. But Snohcounty county got hit the hardest..

@@DanielAtkinsFirewood I know a lineman for the power company up that way and he was kept pretty busy for a while. Glad you didn’t get hit too hard. Thanks for tuning in. Good to hear from you.

I'm always amazed how much of a large tree I can fit into a face cord bag, the average person has no idea how much work goes into it all.

Agreed. I often cut up trees for other people and hear “there’s probably x many cords there” then they are shocked to see what it ends up looking like all split and stacked. Thanks for tuning in and commenting.
