I do have one and I love it. I had the same issues you did with the guides but I moved past that. They are very sensitive and the back bone is spectacular. I will recommend it to friends and family. I can’t wait for the toadfish spinning reels to hit the market!

Hey Chrissypoo.. You know me, my rods are all St. Croix because I like the sensitively of the rods.. But have to admit I've been looking at other rods because of the expense of a St. Croix rod.. I've looked at a toadfish because of you and Josh and you huyys using them.. Haven't definitely decided yet, but getting there..lol. Good to hear about the sensitivity of the rod.. Great video and information and sharing with us.. Keep up the good work and and always look forward to your videos.. Always your friend, fan, and subscriber..

Beware! The tip top and guides have a real tendency to lose their rings. Cheap! I saw rods in the store with missing rings. I bought two of these rods on closeout and had issues with the rings pop out. The blanks themselves seem fine. I also don't care for the cheap reel seat and handle. Plastic crap in my opinion. Now I must rebuild these two rods, or give them away.

I think it was a great looking rod but then I used it and it was not balanced and seemed quite heavy. Also, the handle seemed to twist in my hand when my hands were sweaty a d had a big bass on. I actually sold mine on Craigslist

Just ordered 2 of the med extra fast one piece rods. Can't wait to get them and try them out. I live at the coast in NC. So I have plenty of fish to catch. So far TFO's are my favorite rods. I honestly think these rods might change my mind. I will post again after I receive them and try them out. I am really really excited!! Oh I forgot to ask. What size reel are you using on the med? Hey brother!!! What size would you recommend for more live bait kinda mangrove/fresh water catfish catch what ever bites kinda rod? I’m gonna grab one tell em you sent me obviously 🙄 and give a test myself. I think I’m gonna also grab a mojo from Josh’s channel. Should I get both the same “size/action”? I bought travel one -I will not buy it again - they sell things different from advertised,i purchased this one through Fishbrain site and it is says 1/8-3/4 oz, but in fact they will send you one with 1/4-1 oz. This is Huge difference for one wjo using small lures.Even with 1/4 you cannot cast for more than 15 meters. Action - it should be fast, but i cannot feel the bites. I opened the paypal dispuite and they refusing to refund. Moreover - one tip was broken, so they contacted me and told that they will send new rod , and I agree with that despite the fact that the original one was sent not as described. After I agreed they just sent me 1 replacement tip instead. So at the end - I have unwanted purchase that was not sent as described. I tried to write a review on their site but it is impossible if I put it on 1 or 2 star , it is censored or whatever reason, I dont know. All reviews on site seems only from one or 2 last months, this is looks strange

Hey Chris does it sink with a reel on it ! 🤣. Does it come with a gps tracking chip ! Can you get loss insurance on it ? ( sorry bro I had to bust your azz.) For the price I would expect better of the guides. I'm like you transport rods in and out of back seat of truck, so due to the cracking of guides, at that price I gotta stay away from em.
@thepeople41423 жыл бұрын
Toadfish rods are junk. They will snap out of nowhere on a cast or while you're trying to net a catch. They will try to give you a new one for half price. What a joke! The last one 7'6" medium heavy snapped in half casting a greenback with a split shot.
