I got a ROFIS flashlight a while ago. For the R1 I have to say this one does it all. EDC headlamp and you can charge it what do you need more ? I just would like to see how long this swivel head is going to last. My ROFIS flashlights still hold up. The headband for the R3 seems different then the ones of the R1 and R2. Am I right ? What will happen if you put an rechargeable AA in the R2 and you try to charge it ? At 7:08 you say the ROFIS R1 does not have the SOS function or the strobe. My ROFIS R1 does have strobe and SOS. I can not imagine that they changed that. Just 3 fast klicks and it does the strobe. I noticed that if the tailcap of my R1 is not 100 % tight and you want to charge it flashes green an red to show you something is wrong with the charging.
@livingsurvival6 жыл бұрын
The R3 headlamp strap has a center strap. Not sure if it can charge AA on R2, good question. And, you are correct the R1 sure does have strobe and SOS but not listed on the BOX or manual as the others are. Thanks!
@thomash.45016 жыл бұрын
Thank you Ben for the quick response and you are right i checked, the box and it doesn´t say anything about strobe or SOS. I like to watch your channel a lot keep on going. It would be nice if you could include measurements in metric too sometimes. Greetings from Germany.
@MaZEEZaM5 жыл бұрын
Thomas H. Yeah +1 for Metric, I’m from Australia, basically everywhere outside the US uses Metric or a combination of metric and imperial as Australia does, we never use imperial for less than 1/4 inch, we switch to mm’s or cm’s and most of the time we use metric measures such as meters in the case of a flashlight beam distance.

Do you know if they ever do flash sales like Olight?
@Madman65056 жыл бұрын
Very impressive indeed. I'll be completely sold if you can rotate the pocket clips like on the Olight H1R and H2R. One of my favorite features of those lights is that swiveling the clip lets you lay the light flat and point the head up at any desired angle. It also allows you to clip it to a shirt pocket (or whatever) for hands free light, without having to wear a headband.

Sorry I'm late to reply, but, swivel head, and can charge a standard battery instead of the proprietary battery that's needed for in body charging on the Olight Baton series.
@spaceminions6 жыл бұрын
I gotta say man, these are definitely not performance monsters; they're also a bit more expensive than mine. However the swivel and charging are nice if that's what you need, and the ability to run more kinds of battery is useful for some people. I can dig it, for sure. Since I brought it up, I should explain what I like about mine. My lights are cheaper, have generally better firmware (smooth graduations instead of a handful of discrete levels, thermal based turbo instead of timed, for instance), ~3500 lumens at turn on out of a small 18350 or 18650 (two different lengths tubes) or ~7000 at turn on out of a fairly cheap 4x18650 light or more out of more expensive ones. They also often have less green beams and better CRI which is a measure of color quality. (5000k at cri 100 would be close to sunlight). In fact, my small 3500 lumen one (which I should mention has to turn down its brightness to stay cool; it can't run indefinitely) has 90 cri.

I purchased this lamp and use it probably more adverse conditions than the average user might. My findings...torch - excellent, charger cable - too thin and flimsy, lanyard - very cheap and nasty, headband - frays easily and loses it's elasticity very quickly, especially if used on a helmet. My conclusion......excellent little flashlight and would recommend it to anyone, but the extras that come with it are not very good.

I would like to mention that the older TR10 clip design in terms of placement is significantly more versatile than the newer version. Notice you can swivel the clip in ANY direction 360 degrees on the flashlight and keep functionality. For example you can place the clip IN FRONT of the head without blocking the 90 degree lamp or you can place it BEHIND the lamp without blocking the button. The R1 on the other hand only allows the clip to be placed left or right of the button/lamp to keep functionality. This prevents the ability to mount the lamp say on your front pocket or clip it anywhere where you want the light to shine in front of you. You always have to clip it to the side. Poor design that they could have simply changed.
