What a game between 2 excellent teams. I know there’s no consolation for finishing second, but congratulations to Mililani for an excellent effort and a great season. Again Big Red brought home the bacon to the North Shore. Looking forward to next season and another battle between these 2 excellent programs.

For Mililani, bad clock management near the end. Terrible special teams. Trojans you lost by 2, and missed 2 XP. Kahuku stayed aggressor, made the bigger plays, and called a good game. Keep playing ball, and go win it. The winner did that.

Two talented teams. Two great coaching staffs. Two communities hungry for a state championship to brag about. Too may complaints and excuses from both sides. The better team may not have won (as many think) but there is a saying that goes "You do not have to be the best team, you just need to be the best team for that game" or something like that. Never fear because most likely these two will meet again in the state championship again. It will be great to see Public schools battling for the championship more often to eat away at the ILH mystique that has ruled our state forever. See you all next year.

Shit happens. Cannot control what happens only the players can. Only easy for mililani d to pick up kahuku’s playbook. They literally only get like 6 plays. As well for mililani it was simple mistakes and miscues. Reading these comments, all y’all just shut up cuz if mililani won, y’all kahuku fans would be yappin too. No matter what school you go or where you from, there’s no difference. Going always have discipline and nonchalance players who think they all that. Just congratulate both teams for their hard work and success throughout the season to make it to states. And for that comment saying “always going be Kahuku vs Oahu” that’s such a ridiculous thing to say. Kahuku literally get players who no even live that side or even born and raised. Yeah mililani maybe recruit. But how’s this. Diezel Kamoku, transfer. Manoa Hallums, transfer. Aiden Manutai, transfer. Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa, transfer. Terahiti Wolfe, transfer. Never going be Kahuku vs Oahu. Always going be Oahu vs the mainland. These boys work hard to get to the next level but does Oahu get the scouts or big name coaches keeping an open eye out on these boys like the mainland does? Not really right. Just sickening how some y’all people feel man
@Kahumpton119 ай бұрын
Hallums, Wolfe, and Manutai are RED RAIDER GENERATION. Their roots are Red Raider which is why they came back to play where their family comes from. That’s what we mean! Families leave the north shore but send their kids back to where it all started. Tagovailoa and Kamoku came to us. We never go out and recruit them…they still had to prove themselves and earned their spot and more on the team. Now show us how much of Mililanis roster is from strictly Mililani families? Yeah, no tell us shadddap. You shaaadap.

Plus I never was talking down on Kahuku. I as well get choke family from that side. I talking about the exposure for these boys, they go back to their “roots” as you say, just for win but no exposure. Yeah fun winning and blowing out teams by 20+ but no fun when you get little to no film. As well you make like all mililani does is recruit. What if it’s the same thing with these boys as well. “Always going to be Kahuku vs Oahu” Maybe you were too young to remember the 2010 season when ALL the principals except for the Castle High School principal and Anuenue principal voted not to allow Kahuku to continue their season over a technicality of a bench warmer that got to play multiple games since we were smashing everyone. I have slowed down the video and seen no targeting. Saw ref shaking hands outside before the game and friends with kahuku coaches. Looks weird
@wryZcrazy9 ай бұрын
My understanding is if the defenders flying in helmet or shoulder first and hits the opposing player helmet to helmet on immediate contact targeting would be called. Both targeting calls can be seen. As far as ejection that's determined by officials whether or not the act was flagrant. First target was deemed for ejection second one could have gone both ways.
@MK-su6eg9 ай бұрын
I didn't see the game ,but I knew it was going to be decided by the refs call! I knew it would happen that way. I knew it!!
@jasonkeuma19869 ай бұрын
Could have gone either way? The second targeting was just as bad as the first. Fonoti was down already(knees) and falling. When he was hit his body direction changed. It was all to his head. It was unnecessary. The first ejection should Jane been on the field because of his Campbell ejection. They gave him a second chance and he chose to take out Kahuku DPOY winner. He knew what he was doing.

Play dirty you get penalized. Mililani coach agreed on the two targeting calls. Special teams definitely made the difference. But don't cry about the penalty because it was legit. Take the L and stop choking on big stage games. Mililani last state championship was against iolani in 2016 😂😂😂. There is a reason kahuku did a 3 peat, they play all phases of the game. That's why mililani got out coached!
