On day 1 I've checked fossils to see wich one should i pick if i were to choose one of them and once i saw Fishious Rend move i was amazed by Dracovish. Arctovish can actually work with it very well too, though in Trick Room team. I'm a bit dissapointed other people found out about it before first competition (simply because i wanted to surprise people with it) but i guess it was inevitable. Rock Tomb into Fishious Rend is amazing strategy if you don't want to limit yourself to choice items and still get speed control. Assault Vest set seems very good also because people would expect Dracovish to be choice scarf and would propably switch to Water Absorb/Storm Drain pokemon to counter it. Not to mention Leech Life turning into max move would reduce opponent's sp.att making Dracovish even harder to take down from special side.

I think scarfed wevile could be check to darm as it can revenge kill it with low kick but it is not a counter not at all the only counter I see for darm is cloyster it takes nothing and can set up in front of it

The last set is close to what I've been doing with Arctovish. I have it on a team that has both Trick Room and Tailwind as options, with AV and mixed investment in bulk and offense. Doesn't hit as hard as Dracovish but can be more versatile, has more bulk (takes max ~84% from Modest Rotom specs Thunderbolt) and access to things like Freeze Dry and Icy Wind. Could also be interesting on a Hail team, since it gets Slush Rush and Aurora Veil.

You know, the Zolts also have a shared signature move, it's called "Bolt Beak" and it's functionally the same with the only difference being the type. I wonder if Dracozolt can hold it's own against Dracovish, given DZolt has an additional 10 base attack to DVish and while it lacks Strong Jaw, DZolt has hustle... Which for anyone that doesn't know does the same thing for all combat moves but they have 20% less accuracy.

A counter to Dracovish is Shiinotic with a focus sash. If they send out dracovish first and you send out shiinotic, fishous rend still wont ohko, therefore if you have spore, its a guaranteed sleep and then you can just spam strength sap until dracovish wakes up (since dracovish + choice band has high attack, dracovish shouldn’t wake up before he dies)

he put the evs lower in speed because he said he thought at 112 speed it would outspeed Dragapult and then just threw the evs somewhere else but thats wrong anyways Dragapult with no investment and neutral nature has 162 speed so tbh idk what he was doing there lol

I'd expect to see Pokémon with Water-immunity abilities becoming popular if Dracovish continues its rampage. Water Absorb, Dry Skin, Storm Drain, that sort of stuff. My picks for coverage moves would be specifically to handle these cases, since that Fishious Rend during rain is crazy hard to beat in power. I don't even want to think about the resulting carnage if Mega Evolutions were still here and Sharpedo got this move.
