The Best French Toast Casserole Ever!

Honey Orange French Toast
bottom layer:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
2 tsp cinnamon
1 loaf French bread 1" to 1 & 1/2" slices
4 eggs
1 &1/4 cups milk
1 & 1/4 Orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp grated Orange peel
topping:
1/4 cup melted butter
2 to 3 Tbsp sugar
Assemble per video instructions in a greased 9x13 dish.
Bake @ 350° for 40 minutes

Yum, I can't wait to make this delicious casserole. I ask y'all to please continue to pray for me. At my doctor's appointment this morning I was told that I have a tumor on my left temperal lobe, they didn't tell me the size, they just said that they caught it early enough that they are going to try medication first which is some kind of steroid that starts now (I have the medication) and get me an appointment with a Neurosurgeon ASAP. Your friend must have Easter egger chickens..thus the coloring…my girls are Cinnamon Queens and lay the best large brown eggs…no roosters so mine are free from the possibility of being fertilized…love my farm fresh organic eggs…I have 8 girls and get 7-8/ day…..my neighbors are reaping the benefits as we trade food for eggs…

For the butter/sugar drizzle right before baking. can we add this the night prior for breakfast, or should we drizzle just before baking? Looks very yummy! Love the overnight breakfast casseroles...sometimes I do a crockpot cooked apple/cinnamon topping as well. For your recipe, with the last sprinkle of white sugar, I may also add in that 2nd portion of cinnamon, to the sugar...and sprinkle them together over the top, before baking.
