I read "Fried Chicken" and clicked straight away! My husband is a Tradesman and I 100% agree, if you want to know where the best lunch spots are, ask a Tradie! They find all the best places and they tell all their fellow workers. Great video - I watched it while I was eating my own lunch and felt like I was eating with you!

B & B is 7 minutes from my house! Welcome to Hildebran! Their tater wedges and slaw can be bought in bulk and are always a go-to at any of our family functions (birthdays, weddings, etc). Tip-You’ve got to open the box asap so the wedges do not sweat. So glad you enjoyed a little slice of our town!

Back when I was in college and delivering newspapers, our Saturday ritual was to go to Church's Chicken. The combo meal had two pieces of chicken, fries, a roll, and a whole pickled jalapeno pepper.

I need to share.. I live in the southernmost part of Alabama (20 miles from the ocean) I'm from Richmond, Virginia. In October I took a little trip to Visit my family in Bracey, VA. On the way back I stopped in NC for some gas and saw a biscuitville. I had never been and decided to indulge (because of you, Mary!) Those potato wedges were so good!! And I had some Bojangles from South Hill while in Bracey and I just can't believe how I live in the deepest of the deep south and the food here isn't great. 😭 the best fried chicken I've ever had was in the middle of nowhere Mississippi at a gas station that was also a Baskin Robbins and a Chester chicken 🤣 it was ten in the morning and the chicken side was packed. That was 6 years ago and I still remember that piece of chicken lol

I was born in NC. Spent some of my childhood there. I'm mostly familiar with the Smokies. One of the best restaurants you can eat at is a place called Fats Cafe. Or you could go to any run down looking shack with a pig sign out in front with "BBQ" on it. You'll have the best example of vinager based, smoked bbq with a side of pink slaw. That's the funny thing about NC. The best food there is in inconspicuous places like shacks and gas stations and it'll be served to you on a paper plate or a to-go box.

I live in a chicken shit nc town (Clinton NC), And the most popular fried chicken here is a place called Southern Style. Was on the news in 2020 for the hospitality during the hurricane

And theres also a little mom and pop store called The Grocery Barn, it's right down the road from my old high school, and we always went in the morning and got biscuits, their country ham biscuits are TO DIE FOR. and theres also a little mom and pop store called La Castènia, also by my high school, that has some of the best authentic mexican food that I've had in my town (besides El Jacalitos that has GINORMOUS burritos) they have tamales, Tortas, tacos, carne asada fries, burgers, hot dogs, etc. And it's all made with love. All of these restaurants are in Clinton North Carolina btw.

Potato wedges covered in bread crumbs? Did you just say that?😮 I’ve never seen potato wedges like that anywhere in Europe. They’re covered with spices but bread crumbs? M I getting it wrong. We had a patient who works at KFC and I told him of recent bad experiences with the chicken being very greasy and the breasts being mostly breading and not as much meat as they used to be - so he said he would pick out the best chicken breasts and cook them right -- and sure enough it was great - big difference from how he prepared it to how it really is when you go in and order it at a KFC location. PS - i bet a lot of folks who watched this video then went out and got themselves some friend chicken lol.
