A Great review and demonstration. I just bought one last week, I wanted to mention the G-shift button that can be programmed to one button, it allows you to program a second function for most of the other buttons.

Currently goes for $200, it is very nice, it has tons of programmable buttons, but too expensive for me. I got a G600 for $70. Similar but wired. I got it because logitech software is on the pre-approved list for my job. But Logitech keeps discontinuing these awesome modes

Fantastic mouse but got tendinitis. Had all of my shortcuts programmed & got lightning fast. But be warned. Daily full-time use of the macro buttons can lead to issues. I used it full time in CAD for about 1.5 years. The constant flexing of the thumb caused tendinitis. Be careful.

Because vertical mouse design looks cool but for function wise I much prefer this with loads of shortcuts

Solid review and good mouse. However, in terms of the best mouse for designing, the G604 has NOTHING on the wired G600, except that it`s wireless. This mouse has no default gshift (which means if you want to double the button count you have to waste another key), while the G600 has a very ergonomic default gshift. What does this mean? well, the max shortcuts this mouse can possibly have programmed at one time is 20 (not counting clicks), while the G600 can store a whopping 34!! Comes in handy for advanced BIM software, but if I used Autocad often I could no doubt assign all of these keys on autocad as well. For me personally I frikn loveee the scroll tilt, but use them for more generic commands ex. < = backspace, > = esc (use that a tonnnnn), gshift < = enter and gshift > = tab.

1. i use mainly 3ds max what i wanted to do is to be able to create different shortcuts only not with single letters but such as Ctrl + W (for example for welding vertexes) only since for example the Ctrl + W is already given in the mouse commands for (close tab) as well as for the field of view in 3ds max which would make the ctrl + w useless for the objective of welding vertexes, that's why i would want to ask if i could give for example the welding in 3ds Max as Ctrl + Shift + W, and to have it as a new command set in the mouse, i hope i could deliver my point clearly. 2. i have noticed by your video different presets you have saved i would assume for different programs with different shortcuts, could you please explain in some video how to do that plus the ctrl + shift + w of more complicated commands? Really would appreciate your input on this.

@@ljptech I'm sorry, of course, but it looks like crap. the skeletal body is good only in the fantasies of design students. wheel without fast scrolling. There is no work time in the specifications, but given the non-removable battery and the ability to set the polling rate to 4k, it’s unlikely to be more than a couple of days. No additional buttons... Conclusion - the mouse was created only for the sake of design and is evaporated by people who do not understand why they need an ultra-precise sensor and high polling speed, which they cannot implement unless their name is Clark Kent or Barry Allen

This is true. At Logitech, after 1-2 years, double-click or “Drag and drop” begins. But you can re-solder the microswitches. What’s much worse is that Logitech’s rubber is of poor quality - it deteriorates within 2-3 years and begins to fall off
