Just received mine yesterday. I agreed with your points that Gan12 is more of a solid block, while 15 is malleable. This lead to the need of grip readjustment especially with many years of Gan12 usage which had developed a firm grip to it. On 15 default setting, sometimes I got catches just by holding the cube a bit to tight that leads to the cube deformed. For my taste, I would still prefer 12 Maglev > 12ui Maglev > 15. Sorry for not having any 13 and 14/Pro for comparison.

Its pretty similar either way in moyu cubes you can easily feel if you want to change the compression or the screws But setting up my gan cube, I cant tell, and I just play with the settings until I find out what I wanted The top notch and the bottom one both make it less corner cutting, with making it more anti pop, so idk

Oh well, the final release is coming. If this is were to actually end, I hope GAN returns the black internals for 12 - 15 & the 356 series.

@@MurihSantos You only have to change it once. you dial it in to EXACTLY how YOU like it, you dont change it every solve lol

@vrcshortys152 actually, I kinda change my gan 11's for 3 times. Cuz my first set up is no longer good for my current turning style ,so I changed it. After I become sub 15 ,I changed my setting again since the previous setting is alittle bit tight for me.(sky blue nut)

@@vrcshortys152 yeah, but with one thousand and something possibilities, you'd never get to the setup you want first try. This new approach makes more sense to me, you still have a way to customise, and it's way easier to find something you're comfortable

@@MurihSantos When you have 1000 options you have a smaller difference between each change. that allows you to get it to a range of what you like, you dont have to sort it down to the 1 exact setting you like............... When you have less options the difference between each set of settings is larger, and theres a higher chance that your ideal settings is in that gap.

That's tricky! Both are great cubes, so it all comes down to which one best matches your preferences. Personally, I prefer the V10. :) ~Noah

Did you pick one? I went with gan 12 maglev uv. It will be my first time touching a speed cube at all. I was going to go with the 356 but I settled on the 12 . Can’t wait to get it

If you want a fast controllable cube I think you should get the gan 11. The gan 11 can turn as fast as you want (J perm said it him self) and it’s pretty cheap for a gan cube.

hey speedcubeshop I have a question my wrm v9 20 magnet ball core will it rust if I use water based lube like dnm? cuz the corner to core magnets are exposed to the core and the center caps to core metal rod is also exposed . I’m scared they’ll rust my cube

They won’t respond for lubes like Dnm lol as it’s a lube from The cubicle but I mean it’s made for cubes so it shouldn’t

Don't put it on the screws or magnets, since it's water based it'll rust, if you just put it on the pieces and not the tracks you'll be fine

I hate the idea swapping magnets instead of adjusting them on the pieces. Gives me Gan 356X vibes - great at first, but then all the companies moved on to adjustable magnets. And replaceable centers also feel like the manufacturer couldn't decide what is better and is just giving us both. I didn't expect such a DIY-style cube from Gan. Plus that ridiculous tool for opening the center caps. Minus the iconic Gan center cap shape. I don't think I'll be buying this.

3x3 hardware has officially peaked! Many people saying they still prefer the gan 12 over the 15 and tornado v4 reviewers saying they can barely feel a difference between the tv3 and the tv4 😂 also a lot of people (myself included) prefer the Weilong v9 over the v10. What are we doing here manufacturers? 🧐😅

I agree with you. I love the smooth buttery and quietness of the Gan X v1 especially with the old ipg v5 nuts, really sad that Gan cube is no longer have that kind of turning feel and the muted sound😢

Dude x v1 was fire! So sad I gave mine away to a friend 😢 I wish gan would introduce a different line of 3x3s to return to that feeling. Similar to how Moyu has rs3mv5 (solid and blocky) and Weilong line (light and airy)
