Visiting from Australia for a month so only match I can get to. Third match in six years, at last seen a win. From the North stand the Duran goal was incredible, never rated Ross Barkley but have to admit he was very good when he came on. Oh well back to getting up at 3 in the morning to watch the Villa. Greetings from Indonesia! Well what a match that was...... and what a screamer from Jhon Duran. That must be up there with the best. My idea of the best at Villa Park?...... doesn't sound much, but one winter night match when we were in the old third division v Shrewsbury Town. Villa given a direct free kick - in the box - in front of the Holte End. Shrewsbury get every player back for the wall....... Bruce Rioch steps up with one of his specials.... within a second or two.... in the back on the net!!!! Think about it...... 11 players between the sticks, but Rioch still hits the back on the net!..... Memories eh?....
