The BEST Grip Socks? NEW Pure Grip Socks Pro Review (SR4U)

Time to ask the question again, are the SR4U Pure Grip Socks actually good? However, this time, it's not that simple. These are an updated slightly more expensive version of the Pure Grip Socks that Soccer Reviews For You released not that long ago. This is the 2021 Pure Grip Socks Pro Review.
The Pure Grip Socks Pro still fall into the budget grip socks category due to their construction and price, and despite the changes to the materials that make up the sock they are still cheaper than a lot of the other grip sock options out there. Budget is no good, if they don't perform though.
Here we are looking at the introduction of a mystery material that according to Josh the creator and owner of Pure Grip Socks and SR4U is very premium. Here at Boot Wizard we think we know what that is and will let you know in the video. Is this mystery material actually premium, well is sure seems to have benefitted the socks. Even here in the description, before you even watch the video, I am happy to tell you that the Pure Grip Socks Pro are head and shoulders above the original release of the Pure Grip Socks which I wasn't too kind to in my original review. There is also a brand new overall material the Pure Grip Socks Pro are made from and cheaper shipping costs, so for 2 extra dollars is the SR4U Pure Grip Socks Pro something that you should consider buying, well that's what we are here to find out.
For anyone that watched my review of the original Pure Grip Socks you will also know that I had some issues with the fit, even Josh addressed this in an SR4U video, I assume it was more people than just me that had this problem, hence the video. However, I think that video was damage limitation for what is still, in my view, a pretty poor grip sock with some nice elements, the durability is poor and that exacerbates the fir issue that I experienced in the heel. I think Josh knew that there was a bigger problem than just how people were wearing his socks, and I have to give him props, because this is a genuine attempt at a solution.
Once again, the same as my other SR4U videos, I have never interacted with Josh and I don't have anything against Josh, he is THE pioneer for Boot Reviews on KZbin and without him and Soccer Reviews For You Boot Wizard might not exist, I have nothing but respect. I am aware that Josh has build up in some circles a cult like following who will defend him and SR4U at any perceived slight or criticism. I have no intentions to unfairly target Josh or his products, Boot Wizard is all about fair, unbiased reviews based on my experiences with products and Josh and his products cannot be exempt from that just because of who he is and his followers. This is something that I am sure Josh holds as a value as well and I would expect the same from him if I was ever to release a performance product.

Thanks for the good review. I also had the same issue with the SR4U grip socks thinking that I am the only one experiencing this. After watching the previous video,I switched to nike crew and I absolutely love it.

@@BootWizard for astro/7 aside. I was thinking of getting a pair of AG boots. Typically I've used flats, either indoor or turf variety. I'm cautious cos i wore "Multi Ground" Adidas Ace 15.1's years ago and they got caught in the ground and i twisted my ankle. But i really love the feel of Mecurial on feet tho.

I have been using a good amount of grip socks TruSox, Nike, Adidas, Storelli, Falke, Pure Grip Socks Pro in training and league matches like 2-3 times per week. I moved away from TruSox, and now only use Falke and Pure Grip Socks.

They really are solid and at this price point it would be tough to go with any other socks. Fit great, feel great , grip great and after 15+ cold water washes ( hang dry) they are like new

I had the same experience. The regular ones are not durable, both of my pairs ripped at the toe. The Pro's have not had that issue

Haha, not they did not reach that prestigious rating, however when compared to socks that are around the same price and style they're very good. The SoxPro are on the list but I don't have a pair at the moment so it might be a little while before the full review gets dropped.

I like the socks but I’m cursed with having a foot size in between 6.5 and 7 and that’s where the cut off line is between the S and M. I got the M and they fit but come up on me like a normal football sock and not a crew one. I can’t tell if I want to try and order a size S. Also possibility of a Gold/Red last Nemesis colorway! I thought the Grey/Orange would have been the last one.

To my knowledge the nemeziz grey orange is the last main line colourway, there was always at least one more special edition planned. The gold red for example. There may also be one in a silver red white blue colourway, there are samples, but I don't know if they will be released. For the sock sizes I'm a size US 8 and went for the medium, so I see your potential problem.

I don't think that will make much of a difference to be honest, he started the regular pure socks with just black and white as well. I think he's just testing the waters with the pro, if it works out as well as the original sock did then he will make more colours available.

Was waiting for this review, will pick up a pair! The original was ok for me, just too much extra material running down the sides for me. Made it fit baggy. These look good. Also, what were you thoughts on the stepzz grip socks? I couldn’t find that video! Personally I think they suck lol

If extra material was your main problem then these should sort that out no problems. They're a big improvement. I haven't actually reviewed the stepzz grip sock on its own, it's just in my whole tier ranking list video. But If you look at the tier list you'll see it's basically the second lowest ranked sock at this point. Not one that I was hugely impressed by.

I have the original ones in a size M (i'm a 7.5us with slim feet) they felt big and crunched up right where you point out, so i went and bought the pro ones in a size S, and now they feel small because of this new material which is better. I should have gone for an M

I didn't like the OG pure grip socks. I bought the new ones based on your review and....it's still garbage. The grips are so thick which is not to my liking. They are grippy but too thick for me. I just ordered the tabio from Japan that you suggested. Hoping those are nice!

There is literally no reason to buy the regular sock apart from colour, $2 is a price I'm more than willing to pay, the pro socks are so much better. Standard sock is over once the pro arrives in colours.

It's a good question, I prefer the Nike Grip socks to these and especially when you factor in shipping the price difference isn't that much. So personally I'd go for the Nike Grip, but if you're looking to save a few $ they're a good sock.

I got the OG Pure Grip socks when they first came out and they were garbage. Really disappointing. Just a low quality, poor fitting crew sock with poor quality grips on them. Glad to see Josh has upped his game because so many kids trust his brand. I wouldn't buy these though. There are $5 or $6 grip socks you can get on Aliexpress or Amazon that already did this silicone grip style well, with great fit and higher quality materials, so he's still 3X more expensive than his real competition IMO. The ones I'm really interested in at this price point are the RTP Kraken Socks. Those look like true challengers to top level grip socks at half the price!
