I really love Guerlain, it's my favourite perfume designer. Unfortunately, because I'm not familiar at all with niche perfumery (the prices are too high for my budget), I cannot say if they can be considered niche or not. What I love the most about Guerlain is the originality of their creation (they don't seem to copycat releases from other brands), the quality of their fragrances (even the EDT have very good longevity & projection, which is a problem with many perfumes nowadays), the timeless & very good taste feel of their creation, the tradition & experience they have in the background, how amazing I feel every time I wear a Guerlain etc. I haven't tried Tonka Imperiale, but I'm familiar with the other fragrances in your video, Max. Great selection!

Hi Max, I have many guerlain perfumes and the truth is I did not try imperial tonka but I will tell you that my favorite is derby the original ... I am surprised that you never name it since it is a masterpiece without a doubt

I live in Malaysia. Guerlain doesn’t disappoint with its capability in this humid and hot environment, and the dry down in the warm evenings truly smell like heaven. Great video. Guerlain is the best brand from the designer range with niche quality.

My first attachment to a fragrance was with a Guerlain: SAMSARA. Though a female intended fragrance, it was the most beautiful, gorgeous smell of all time for me. After finishing 2 bottles, I lost of ever finding it again. Then it emerged as a new reformulated version, in a different bottle (again, for the 3rd time, I supposed!), which I am afraid of putting my nose on for fear of being disappointed. A classy scent, anyway, worthy of, at least, an Honorable Mention! Thanks, Max. Great, as always! 👍

Mr Max .... Guerlain is my personal #1 even better then Creed. L'Instant & Intense version is a master blend. Guerlain Homme I take over Dior Eau Savage. Guerlain Vetiver is pure earthy masculinity. Habit R is a throwback to a days of change in Hollywood. Heritage all day long!!! This is a great video

I love my Guerlain frags. I have Habit Rouge, Vetiver Extreme and Ideal Cologne. Next on the list will be Lidge, Heritage and Homme. Guerlain is one of the best fragrance houses no excuses imho. Great bang for ya buck.

Thank you, Mr. Forti. My most beloved Guerlain and fragrance overall must be L'Heure Bleue. Just special. Mitsouko, Shalimar, Habit Rouge (EdT for me), and Jicky are also highly beloved. For their Thierry Wasser moderns, I am *loving* his Cuir Intense as of late. As far as I can appreciate, he is doing great work at Guerlain! Please stay safe, and thanks again. (As for your other questions, they are not "niche", but many niche brands wishes they were them, and often emulate their classics for an expensive penny. I would choose Guerlain over both Chanel and Dior if forced to choose, but am glad I do not need to make such a choice. Current LVMH Guerlain is better than a large number of more pretentious niche brands, IMHO. Glad they are still around, along with their classics.)

I have only been introduced to Guerlain recently. Habit Rouge is like nothing else I've smelled. Vetiver is like owning a classic Jaguar, it's mature and sophisticated, it's no youngster, but it has still got it! I have my eye on a bottle of vintage Heritage. It's such a shame Instant isn't what it once was.

I love you max and our tastes align perfectly. Heritage & LIDGE are my fav frags of all time. That being said if you like maxs list but want a few other guerlains to try. You have to try shalimar. Im 36 and a guy and i wear it in winter it is the greatest fragrence ever made full stop. Any iteration edp and edt extrait doesnt matter but if you love orientals shalimar is out of this world perfumery. Also newer offerings songe du bois ete if you can find the original is a great oud frag in guerlain style & guerlain homme intense in the old stubby bottles with the fat sprayer is a beautiful spring time fragrence. -Ramsey

I was able to find a vintage bottle of L'Instant De Guerlain EDT, (batch: 4T01).. The EDT is such a wonderful fragrance. It shouid het just as much hype as the EDP/Eau Extreme variant.

Guerlain is great. But i like the more modern Line aka l‘Homme Ideal better. Habit Rouge smells a little bit outdated and like an old but classy Man. L‘Instant de Guerlain as EDP and EDT are world class Scents. Underrated and not so much people are talking about them.

I've only found decants of Djedi which are being offered for $192 for 2ml!! Another rare Guerlain is Dawamesk which is an extrait de parfum with a 2ml decant selling for $160. I love Guerlain but not that much.

Dear Max, coincidence or not, while I was watching your video (with a glass of red wine), I was wearing L'Instant EDP. The day before, I have ordered from two different discounters Habit Rouge (EDP this time around, I had the EDT before) and Heritage EDP. I also have three perfumes from L'Homme Ideal range (EDP, Extreme, and Cool), Vetiver Extreme (is it true that it has been discontinued?), and Guerlain Homme EDP. I really love Guerlain house and I hope I will have other great fragrances from them to add to my humble collection... Wonderful video, like usual. @@shajiwahab I've just tried Heritage EDP and my goodness it's so good! Woody, spicy, slightly powdery, so elegant, smooth, and - may I dare to say - very sexy. It reminds me of Lalique Pour Homme (the one with a lion engraved on the bottle), but compared to that one is more complex and the citrus and iris notes are much more discreet... Homme EDP is very summery, casual, smells like a mojito cocktail, it feels green and a little woody. The most noticeable notes are the lime, the mint, the rum accord, and woody notes in the dry down. I was very surprised and pleased that it has very good longevity on my skin; usually, I am not very fond of fresh fragrances because they don't last very well on me. That's why I've made my collection considering the climate here in the UK, where I live (which is moist and cool most of the time).

Hi Max, I really enjoyed the video. I work in a food manufacturing facility. Cologne is not allowed. However, smelling clean and fresh is allowed. What would you recommend for me that would give me fresh clean smell but not a strong cologne smell? Thanks!

Hey Skyler, thanks - Sure, here are some great options for work-environment and inoffensive/fresh & clean style fragrances: *Varvatos Artisan Pure, Armani acqua di gio EDP 2022, D&G light blue eau intense, Amouroud wet stone, Vince Camuto homme, Dunhill Icon.* These are some of my favorites that will do great in the work-setting!

Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver is close to Guerlain Vetiver. Obviously inspired by the Guerlain classic, it's a little drier. I like Guerlain Vetiver better in scent and price though. But Tom Ford's is good. Never tried Dior Prive's Vetiver.
