First Horison Chase Turbo was one of my ALL TIME FAV ARCADE RACING game ever. Horison Chase 2 is awesome too - so glad i was NOT disappointed by the sequel!

Great list! Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a definite pick up. I love Jet Set Radio. Amnesia: The Bunker too as survival horror is my fav genre. The only hidden gem I've recently picked up recently is The Eternal Cylinder - I know it's not a 2023 game, but wow it's great.

Spongebob The Cosmic Shake was such a fantastic game that I agree,has no business being as good as it was. Of course, I still think Battle for Bikini Bottom is a better game overall, but the Cosmic Shake is right there at #2, ever so slightly behind BFBB at #1. One thing I want to hit home with is in the future if they ever decide to make another 3D platforming Spongebob game, they need to seriously follow how good the Cosmic Shake is because it is that good of a spongebob game. Seriously! Also: DayQuil 😂😂😂

Great list. Another underrated gem of a game is Pleh! which is a free indie game with a powerful storyline that hits home hard. Worth a play.

I really wanted to buy Horizon Chase 2 on the switch because it really looks very cool but after checking it out on metacritic and seeing that almost not a single person even bother to rate the game I thought it was going to be a disaster. After seeing this video I think I most likely will check it out finally this month

Out of these, I played: The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog Bomb Rush Cyberfunk And I'm currently playing Hotwheels Unleashed 2, since I asked for it for Christmas cause I adored the first game. All of these were great, and I'd personally put Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 and The Finals on there. Both are really good, but have been overlooked a bit because of how late in the year they dropped.

I’m not sure which platform you played Horizon Chase 2 on, but I was really disappointed with it on Switch given how much I loved the first game. It felt a lot jankier and I ran into tons of bugs and crashes. Eventually I sadly just uninstalled it and moved on. One of my biggest disappointments of the year. Agree with all of your other choices though!

The gameplay in the first one was very shallow. I hated the way it automatically turned your car for you. Does the new one do this too? I’d normally buy a new arcade racer Day 1 but I’m not a fan of games holding your hand for you.

hmm interesting, I played on PC and had no issues like that. And yes the car slightly turns for you but I wouldnt say the game is hand holding if you let the car turn for you, pretty sure youd lose every race lol.

The reason Horizon Chase 2 didn't get any coverage was because it wasn't released on Steam and barely mentioned it was on EGS even. The not on Steam thing really pissed me off, since the original game got popular due to Steam and the few streamers etc. who played it and yet again Steam players get boned by Epic's money. Oh well, HC2 should be coming to Steam soon enough, it's been a few months now. I just hope they get to make another one of these.

I am sorry but these are some horrendously boring games. Also, Jet Set Radio is probably the most overrated game in game history. I don't understand people keep stating "It is like Jet Set Radio" as to imply it is just as boring.
