Holy Crow! - after the SinterFire Factory Tour video, I had this same question about PCC's. You answered that in one shot!!! I can't wait to get this ammo on range!

Glad to hear it, and yep performance out of a PCC was honestly quite good!

Congrats on getting some gel blocks for testing!! I've got a fun test medium to film in the summer, but I'm going to keep it a secret so no one else tries to do it first, lol. Semi home-made type. Ouch!! The table!!! That's some force!! Impressive for sure!! Looks like a fun day. Have a great rest of the week man!

Looking forward to seeing it! Yeahhhhh….gonna have to break out the wood glue and do some repairs 😅

@The Reloading Craft I will say, doing the wood projects the last week are making me learn a lot. My bench kinda wonky looking, but my VTAC walls gonna be nice and smooth. Should've done these projects in opposite order so I'd have nicer looking bench. More sanding and cutting after work today, but I'm getting the hang of the wood work basics!! It's nice to see a finished project come together from random supplies!!

100% agree with ya there! I keep a nice pile of wood scraps for just such occasions when they prove useful in being the base for another project!

Can't wait to see how this stuff does in the 16" AR9 I'm putting together, Sportsman's Guide had this ammo on sale, looks like a great choice.

It’s a good performer out of a carbine for sure!

You start losing velocity beyond 11ish inches unless you're using some odd +p round. Check out velocity tables for 9mm vs barrel length.

All depends on powder burn rate. If I’m loading for a carbine, I’ll often use AA#7 which is slower burning and utilizes the longer barrel length to gain velocity without spiking pressure too high.

How well does the SinterFire 9mm Special Duty cycle in the Sub2000? Also, are you using the standard weight bolt or Keltec's heavy bolt? In other videos videos I have seen, the most common thing I heard about the round was that it is a fairly soft recoiling. If I remember correctly, all of these tests were done using pistols, and there was even a few issues with cycling in some pistols. I think you are the first one so far to post a video of using these in a PCC, so thank you for posting this test.

So in all fairness I only fired a single round through the Sub2k, and it cycled completely fine. I believe that one has the standard bolt weight, although it belongs to a friend so I would have to ask. They do have a bit less recoil than standard ammo, because they’re a 100grain bullet with the volume of around a 135gr. I will also say I’ve shot them through a select fire MP5, as well as my HK VP9, VP9 Match and my P30SK (all with heavy recoil springs) with 100% reliability.

@@thereloadingcraft Awesome, thanks for the information.

147 grain standard pressure does not gain much velocity in the long barrel and is pretty consistent. I am wondering what a 65 grain Norma NXD or ARX Inceptor would do?
@thereloadingcraft Жыл бұрын
I think it really depends on how they’re loaded. Like you said on the 147’s, if they’re getting complete powder burn in a shorter length, the extra barrel doesn’t do much. On the flip side a lot of those lighter bullets require a lot of powder to get them moving because they leave the barrel so fast and don’t have as much combustion time, and usually a good bit of it is unburnt in a standard pistol barrel but could burn in a rifle length barrel.
