Love this review!! In a wheelchair and security is a problem since cannot see thru peephole to see who is at the door. Since my door is in a corridor and not directly exposed to elements I think this camera will be perfect. Can't thank you enough for this review!!

Holy crap that door gap @4:46; please tell me it's not latched. If it is your pissing away electric bill with that, talk to your landlord. That door needs adjusted bad, not to mention easier to kick in.

No alarm, true. But the spot light that goes off when it is recording can be a bit of a deterrent. Also, I 'weather-resisted' mine with a little electrical tape around the seams, and over any exposed areas. Then I hung it under my eaves, and had no issues. I have since purchased the XT (outdoor version),

Question: I am on a fixed income and have just enough wireless bandwidth for my computer and TV. Will this system be a bandwidth hog and adversely affect my TV viewing ? Cool concept and part I love most is the 2 year battery life however I'll wait until next gen comes out with 1080, night vision and, HomeKit support, I will be willing to loose a year of battery life for those features as long as they give a indicator that battery level is low.

It's a decent system. Quality in the morning was decent, but it was horrible at night time. The siren /alarm would be a key feature, I hope it is brought it in future updates of the app, just an alarm on your phone is enough.

I think it's good that it doesn't detect through windows, in a way. I'm planning on setting mine up that will have a window in the frame and trees will constantly set off the motion detection and run up the recording space.

A loud sirene is much more important than cameras i think. because the intruder gets nervous. neighbors might look whats going on etc. cameras are a great second security but if the intruder is wearing a mask, only the cameras are useless... but i think the cams are great second secure and better than other ip cameras on the market!

There you can download android apps and play them in your computer! so why don't you download Blink app and then have in in your computer too?
