Here's an easy tutorial showing you how to make homemade marshmallows. Homemade marshmallows aren't. as hard to make as you might think. What you're left with is sot, pillowy, fresh marshmallows that are perfect for homemade s'mores, hot chocolate or just to toast and eat on their own.
//Homemade Marshmallow Recipe:
Ingredients:
3 packs (21 g) powdered gelatine
1/2 cup (125 ml) water
1/2 cup (125 ml water)
1 1/2 (300 g ) cups sugar
1 cup (250 ml) corn syrup
2 tsp vanilla (or other flavouring)
Icing sugar

This recipe was quick, easy, fun and delicious. I don’t think I can go back to manufactured marshmallows on s’mores or hot chocolate/cocoa again. Thanks Chef Kristin! You just demystified this one for me. What are some other flavors to try other than vanilla?

Thanks so much Michael! Glad to hear yours turned out well 😊 you could try mint extract, rose or orange blossom extract goes really nicely as well. If you want to try something different check out where you can buy tonka beans, they taste kind of like a vanilla cinnamon hybrid, that would be really nice in these as well! Hope that helps :)

Great Video, Chef! Once your marshmallow is setting, can you cover it with anything? Like parchment dusted with icing sugar for example?

Great question, leave it open if you can but if you have to cover it try using a dry, clean cloth which will still allow the marshmallow to breath a bit. This way it is still able to dry out :) thanks again for your question and I hope this helps.

Hello Chef! I'm in France and corn syrup is quite hard to come around here. Is it possible to replace it with something else (like glucose, or more sugar?)

Thanks for the question! In this recipe, you can substitute in golden syrup which might be a bit easier to get. If there is a British section in your local grocery store or shop near you they would have golden syrup for sure. Not sure where you are but there’s a Marks and Spencers in Paris I used to shop at and they’ve got it. Also I did a quick check and you can get both regular corn syrup and golden syrup on Amazon! Hope this helps ☺️☺️
