Been using this one for a few weeks now, and this thing is amazing in high humidity environments. I live by the sea in the southern hemisphere, and average humidity is in the high 70%. It's barely affected by humidity at all. It's also barely affected by sweat in my experience (and I'm a heavy sweater). If you need a hybrid mousepad that's good for humid areas, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this pad. It's also very easy to get in my experience.

bought this couple of weeks ago to replace my CM MP510L. It is just that good since hybrid mat have different texture compare to regular control pad. bought it for RM149 which is less than 40USD. Been using it for long period of gaming with my pulsefire haste.

@@evocarspa5192 not at all. its much more of a lower grid (i compare it to a roughness of sandpape) the strider is more of a lower grid which is smoother compare to CM MP510L.

I think the Razer Strider is a polyester fabric instead of cordura. BTW have you tried the Madcatz Glide 38 hybrid mousepad. It's some sort of rubber/silicone instead of fabric and you can apply pledge polish for extra speed! Also no raised stiched edges, just hear bonded!

Cordura is a collection of synthetic fiber-based fabric technologies, mainly Nylon but it can be Polyester too or a blend of both, even mixnin some wool, canvas, denim etc... Hence hybrid. Polyester is less durable, weaker. The fact Razer did not state Cordura means it's not up to the Cordura quality and durability standard (microscopic level of weave) and is just generic polyester.

It is resistant to temperature and humidity already. The water resistance means that if you spill water on the pad, it won’t absorb it like a normal cloth pad would

Strider. Gigantus has too much stopping power that you cant do detail adjustments. But if you dont play multiplayer fps, ill say the gigantus is more comfortable.

Hey techne can you please help me? I have a arctic 7 headset I want to use it to watch movies on my android. Seems to be two cables the regular 3.5mm and the one with 3.5mm to different connector. Wonder how this compares to the Fnatic Dash and Odin Infinity Hybrid. Fnatic Dash is the best mousepad I've ever had and the Odin Infinity Hybrid is almost as good in my opinion.

Honestly. I think the Fnatic Dash is pretty good in that the surface is almost too smooth though! it is good. I believe the Infinity is literally the perfect hybrid pad. It's got some roughness to it but not to the point of irritation. Checking out Boardzy's vid on the Strider, he flat out states that this pad is really rough. And looking at it it's almos the exact same surface as the GTF-X which is also really rough. On top of that he also said there's almost no stopping power and it's a bit too fast still. So I mean I'd say good try to Razer but the Infinity beats it out and is still to this day the most "Hien like" pad of all the hybrids. It's cool that Razer is looking at the little guy though!

@@liquiddawn82 Just watched Boardzy's review of the Razer Strider. I really like the Fnatic Dash for it's silky smooth surface. The Infinity Hybrid felt a tad bit rougher. I've used them both for around 6 month each and the Fnatic Dash is my favorite. And it's still as smooth and fast as the day I got it after heavy use! I love it! I feel the hybrid pads benefit a lot from light mices. I use the Logitech G Pro Superlight. Perfect combo.

@@VonBoomer exactly! It's cool you like the Dash. It's a good pad for sure. It's all preference but I like the Infinity's slightly rougher texture because I feel like I get more control. But you should like what you feel makes you perform best, nothing wrong with that! What I don't like is these ultra rough pads.......this is rougher than the Hien which was kinda too rough already so I'm not sure if everyone's going to love this Razer pad. That's why I think Odin hit it out of the park though!

I've been looking at replacing my glide 38 for ages. I have had 3 glide 38 is 3 years they wear like crazy and the edging coming up so quick. and for the price this is going to be my last one. Only issue is the last 6 months I have tried the steel qck, asus and the corsair. none are as fast as the glide 38 which is what I'm looking for. This looks to be the closest think to the 38 that have come out but ony just hearing about it. Has anyone used this coming from a 38? If so does it compare?

Looks like a really nice mousepad but always my issue is the design, odd thing to say I know but plain black is horrible for showing up dirt, dust and pet hair. I wish they would do some sort of subtle design like my current from X-ray pad Equate (space design theme but hides any dust extremely well) I'd also recommend that one for its unique 2 way feel for glide up and down feel. If you can you should check them out Techne :), they also do an Equate Plus in a cool design which I own, probably more in kin with this Razer one :)

Checkout Endgame MPC450 Cordura™ Stealth Edition and the other Cordura Material Pads...Price, Quality and the Special Cordura Material is really unique and i have two dozen other pads lying around here but this is the best for me right now. Can only recommend them, especially for THAT PRICE !!!! The TOP Layer Surface on the Strider is 100% Polyester, so its just a cloth pad with "plastic" Layer on top...did not really tick my bells there to be honest.
