@@FollowMeImaFoodieIndia, see what you have to look forward to?! Lol! When Alexander the "Meh" showed up to the banks of the Indus river with the rag-tag remnants of his army, he thought he had reached the end of the world. When the rains stopped and the morning fog lifted, he saw more land on the other side. They went there. Pushing their way through the reeds they came out to see more water and more land across from the island they were on. They made their way there and fought with and defeated Porus, the king of a small kingdom. When asked how far the end of the Earth was, he was told there were plenty more rivers and kingdoms to cross and there was land further east and north as well. India is huge, and billions of foodies with access to thousands of spices and herbs and veggies and fruits and meats for nearly 70,000 years...you know we were bound to create some shit! Lol.

You should have a good mix of meat and vegetable dishes, along with one or two lentil dhals, chickpeas, red beans or any other. You also need raitas papads, some salads to balance the spice & the taste. Great episode

Chad and Joy, was that the first Parsi dish you have ever had? The fenugreek curry sounds interesting, I had a similar curry recently that I had never had before (Chicken Methi Malai) at Bawarchi Biryani in FL and it was really good. That Tamarind sauce might have had dates in it. Talking about mint chutney, have you got Coleman's mint sauce in your kitchen?
@FollowMeImaFoodieIndia3 жыл бұрын
We don’t have Coleman’s, but that needs to change ASAP!! Where do you get it?
@ray328253 жыл бұрын
@@FollowMeImaFoodieIndia We used to get it in the international section of Publix, but you can order it from Amazon if you cant find it at a local grocery store. The last time I purchased some was from Jungle Jim's in Ohio.

no it is gram flour batter on those onion fritters we call it besan. goes well with tomato ketchup and masala chai in rainy weather. one indian contestant in masterchef australia actually cooked it and got eliminated. theres a whole standup comedy video on this. u get it on the streets for 7 rupees even cigarette is more expensive and she decided to cook it in masterchef
@FollowMeImaFoodieIndia3 жыл бұрын
Lol. It was delicious, but definitely not master chef material

The name of restaurant should be sounding as 'Say-va' (Seva is Sanskrit word meaning 'Service')

This meal might have billed around 100$ which I think is bit at expensive side.
@FollowMeImaFoodieIndia3 жыл бұрын
It is expensive, but NYC in general is expensive. Also, we ordered way more food than normal people would.
