Now imagine if we could actually hire AI to help us. Imagine you fire a flare and a skeleton galleon or phantom ship rises ftom the depths, tskes your gold and aids you. Too bad Rare would never do something like that because it would be changing their AI.

Oh that would have been a great reason to max out Athena/reaper if you could get a special item like that flare and get faction themed spawns, Such as the "ancients" tribe phantoms for athena and ashen skeletons.

Personally, when I first conceived the notion of a skeleton curse in this game, this is what I envisioned, the ability to summon AI minions to your side! On islands and forts a number of them will spawn and fight by your side, but on your ship they have dedicated roles, some do repairs and buckets some angle the ship and some run the harpoon, players still have to steer the ship and fire the cannons. And most importantly because this is a curse, the longer the minions are active for, the more likely they are to turn on you. And to further balance this so that players don't spam it, there would be at least a 15-minute cooldown, but they are active until you either turn them off or until they all die. Edit/addon: If your in a crew, only 1 member can have the curse active at a time, and you have to wait 1 minute to activate your minions if once your crew mates deactivate.

The SoSS event appears too often (everytime you log in actually) so it doesn’t take long to finish the 30 voyages grind to get all the cosmetics. There is little value in doing them again after that because the gold is minimal.

Yes, Mobs in Sea of Thieves are more like factions. Phantoms, Skeletons, Ocean Crawlers. They all aggro each other, I have yet to test coral skeletons, against Ocean Crawlers, since they are both in Treasuries

@@PhuzzyBond best way to test would be taking a skull into a treasury then, first to see if skellies spawn while in the Shrine/ Treasury and in the process see if you can store the skull in a Mermaid Statue. I doubt you can though, since I tried it with a Reaper Chest one time, which is also marked on the map, and it didn't work

@aidanjackson5084 unfortunately the skull can't enter the Treasury, it despawns back to ship, same as outpost taverns, the skull just falls of your hands when entering a tavern. Very odd
