I appreciate the comparison aspect but I received my first Berg Blades mini Sweeney a couple weeks ago, been collecting for over 40 years and I finally found the perfect knife. I did get the damasteel model and absolutely love it. It has not left my pocket since. The size, materials and feel are just fantastic. I can’t see the kizer getting close to the Sweeney. But good video..

I got the WMK exclusive Militaw in Ultem/154CM. For like $115. Such a good deal for the Militaw. It’s one of Kizers model with drop shut action out of the box. You can tighten the pivot until your fingers break and that blade is still free-floating. I’d love to know how they’ve accomplished that. I remember the Kizer Lan was the first model of theirs that I handled that had that same action. Kizer is highly underrated. I feel like they’re the Spyderco of budget knives. You very rarely get anything wonky and the fit and finish is always great.

They do some really great ones for sure. They don't all have that action but many do. But they're fit and finish is great. Thanks for watching

Love my Militaw! Perfect detent and reverse flick knife. It's a top 3 in my small collection and I don't ever see that changing.

Nice comparison - Last year when these dropped, I found that I had a hard time picking between the Kizer Militaw and Berg Blades Sweeney like you have here, but also the Miguron Flix II. Even though the Flix II has a finger choil, all 3 have a very similar blade profile and overall feel to them. I would say that the Sweeney takes the cake for build/fit/finish, the Miguron takes it for ergos and clip, and the Kizer for fidget factor and value.

Hats off to you KC for being willing to put your king of the hill on notice with a similar and cheaper knife. I know you’re not going for “Is it a SWEENEY KILLER!?!?” but even to put them up to the test gives us some great perspective.

I paid a lil more for mine. But it has the purple carbon fiber inlay, black mirror finish. It looks great and has a wonderful action.

This is a great video, KC ... fair comparisions of the two knives with one nearly 1/2 the price. I don't personally care for the front flipper but many will be fine / want it ... no finger choil & pocket clip isuues only downsides of this knife. Luv the neutral lines. Thanks, KC.
