I was playing around with mine today. I got it in December. I haven’t opened the panels because I wouldn’t know what I’m looking at. This video was very informative. That yellow card with the numbers was used to set it up.

I like Everything about the Bolt but was a little disappointed in the cutting performance in your examples. How does the cutting performance compare with say a P2? REALLY hoped to get a laser that engraved this well but cut decent as well - at this price point :)

if you hold the ply flat on the bed with high power magnets, your autofucs will be correct and the kerf smaller, Im cutting 1/8th ply at 30mm/sec, 75% power single pass

+/- Dial behind gantry resting position is a manual adjustment for the air (laser head air).

You mentioned that a 30W RF laser is similar to a 60W CO2, I was googling around and couldn't find much info on this power rating comparison. is it just the rule of thumb that an RF is about 2x equivalent of a glass tube?

I'm not sure where he got that figure from. If you want a very in depth comparison of glass vs RF tubes, SarbarMultimedia has several videos testing them. just search "sarbarmultimedia rf" and look at his comparison videos (watch at 2x speed). The TLDR is RF is good for engraving but actually pretty crappy for cutting. There is a lot of hype around RF lasers (propagated by companies selling RF laser machines), and a lot of that is overblown. They actually have terrible beam divergence (how much the laser spreads out), that is why there is that cylinder on the end of the tube that he didn't know what it did. It makes the beam more parallel, but it also makes the beam BIGGER. That's why it's bad for cutting.

Not familiar with RF lasers but try focusing closer to the material for cutting thicker tuff.

didnt use autofocus properly, the kerf on this machine is much finer when st properly
