Taking the goofy child-like nature of legos and the making that the representation of the conflict between a father and son, and then the father accepting his son The Lego’s are a crucial component of the father and son’s relationship, and when the father sees the son deviate from his perfect vision, he is at first in conflict with his son, before understanding him and LITERALLY REBUILDING THEIR BOND (AND THE CITY) TOGETHER, reforging their relationship into something new, something better, something……awesome.

my sister and I “realized” years after watching that while yeah we enjoyed the movie it is a lil bit goofy, but then we rewatched it recently for kicks and giggles and realized it does a fantastic job at achieving its goal: being a very silly movie for kids. like that isn’t exactly what we said but I lowkey forgor, either way it’s like actually amazing and I love it so much!!
