Mixing the lemon peel with the sugar must be with hands only, not with spatula, because hands can give an extra squeeze to the peels & get most of the taste ..

Over mixing can result in dense dough. Mix until just combined. Or if the Dough is too warm can spread too much, preventing cracks. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Thank you soo much ❤️❤️❤️
