I discovered Puerto Nuevo 35 years ago while living in So Cal. The exchange rate was around 2,400 pesos to a dollar so we'd shop around Tijuana for a while before taking the toll road some 75 km South to Ortega's Place for lunch. Lobster beans and rice with a Tecate to wash it down. Good times. Thanks for the memory Sam!

One time when I was in China the waiter brought an entire cooked cow head to the table (cow face meat is delicious). It was so cool to have the big cow head skull sitting on the middle of the table surrounded by bite size pieces of face meat. I live in the Los Angeles area and have been to Not Not Tacos. Sam this lobster burrito brought back very fond memories of a visit I had with my brother (he lives in LA). We went to Puerto Nuevo for lobster tacos. The tacos were fabulous as well as the visit with my brother. What a great little town with a beautiful view and outstanding food. Thanks for reminding me of the visit and for this great burrito.

When I was down there they were frying the lobster in unclarified pork lard. That's what made it really tasty in my opinion. Otherwise if I was preparing a lobster dish I would probably not even consider skanking it up with rice and beans.
