Here is a tip from an 85 yr old fan…as we age we lose hair from all over our bodies, yes there too….but I hate the loss of my brows but I found an easy way when I’m in a hurry..spray an angle brush with setting spray and dip into a shadow that closely matches the color you usually use. Voila!!! Instant brows! And thank you so much for the time you take to bring us fantastic videos…I’m on FB so if you want to se what I look like, thanks to you..go there. Btw, I have never had any cosmetic procedures..it’s just the joy of the Lord.

To prevent your concealer from moving around: Tap or smear a tiny bit of glitter glue under the eye, then apply your concealer. Set with powder. Your concealer will not budge! I have a birthmark under my eye that I cover up, so this really works.

For older women who are getting fine lines around their mouths causing lipstick bleed: after applying foundation and before lipstick, apply a small amount of non-oily primer on the lines - no the lips. Don’t rub just pat it on. I’m up their in years and it works wonders for me.

I have combination skin. Some tricks I’ve learned, use and love are... 1. For combination/oily skin is to use loose powder before foundation to help reduce shine for longevity 2. Spray setting spray on your foundation brush with foundation to help foundation last longer 3. I don’t have a matte primer so what I do is use my matte setting spray then use loose powder. Hope this helps 💚💚💚

My makeup tip: Tightline the upper waterline before putting on eyeshadow. I cannot tightline without blinking and every single time I get eyeliner strokes on the lid and ruin the eyeshadow - therefore I started doing it as the first thing. Then I could just wipe it away 🙂

Also, a tip/trick that I use daily when applying makeup is to layer setting spray as you add products to your face, not just at the end, or at the beginning and end only. When I'm doing a "full face", I will use it after primer, after foundation, after concealer/setting powder/cream products/powder products/etc. The key is to LET IT DRY before you go on to the next step, so this can add a lot of time to your application, but if you NEED your makeup to stay, the extra time and effort is worth it every time.

Great tips! 🥰 My tip: I have started using, brace yourself, cornstarch mixed in with my Laura Mercier powder 🤭😊 It becomes less cakey, longer lasting and so much smoother. It is so finely milled, that it sorta works like a translucent powder would. I add just a pinch into the powder, mix well and apply. My mind just got blown with the setting spray on the undereyes tip - it's one of those "DUH, this should've been obvious!" things but here I am barely hearing of it now, and I absolutely need to try that because all powders look horrendous on my late-30s undereyes. The only thing is, I wonder if any excessing drying will occur over time since most effective setting sprays are loaded with alcohol. The tip for the perfect nude lip has an extra advantage that it'll minimize the telltale border between your actual inner lip and the lip product itself.
@ts46863 жыл бұрын
Have you tried using water instead of setting spray? I used to do that and it worked well. Just a damp sponge to apply the powder, and only use a little bit of powder. I every so often change up my makeup applications so I haven't done it for some time, but it really does make a difference, as opposed to if you applied the powder with a brush. Or maybe spray your sponge with refresher spray/face spray (not setting spray) because those often have a little glycerine in them (they don't have alcohol as they're not meant to set, but rather to refresh) and that will help combat dryness and caking. I have dry skin so I know how powders can work against the skin. Best of luck! 😊
@aliciasummers50483 жыл бұрын
@@ts4686, thanks for the tips regarding refreshing sprays instead of setting spray. Another one of those "obvious" things that I never thought about, lol. Thanks again! I'll be trying that next time my under eye area looks dry/cakey

I have oily skin too and cream products don’t last very long on my skin if I don’t set them. Using face powder always muted or changed the color and I hated that. I started taking a similar shade of powder blush and/or bronzer and lightly dusting over the cream products to set them. My blush and bronzer lasts all day now.
@pwallace53593 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, Ive been doing that the past few years to make my cream blush last and it has worked great. For years I only used cream blush and after about 4 hours it would just disappear. I remember laughing with my Mom and sister when I asked them “ where does it go? “ 😂. I have normal to dry skin but it still just vanished like a magic trick. 🤷🏻♀️❤️

That sounds great, until you learn that doing so diminishes the effectiveness of your sunscreen significantly. Learned from a dermatologist. You are better off waiting for the sunscreen to be fully absorbed, and then add your watered down concealer.
@FourJaysFour3 жыл бұрын
I used to do this until I heard it affects performance of sunscreen. You can safely LAYER but can't mix without compromising protection. So apply a layer of SPF then apply your custom mixed tinted moisturizer. I think it was Lab Muffin who explained the complexity of SPF formulating and how you never want to tamper with it.

Funny that you worded it as your face looking "flat". That was exactly the way I felt recently when I looked in the mirror one day thus the reason for me switching things up.
