These were interesting to see. Especially the blush one. Makes sense why I often think my photos look better when I've taken peach blushes higher. You're looking beautiful as ever. I've always started my contour where the KM one is and then went up. I have very prominent cheekbones, so when I was a little heavier doing that and my jawline really gave a more chiseled look. Now that my weight is in the "ideal" range and due to my 50+ age there's no "baby fat" left to plump features up, I'm finding contour extremely challenging. I'm actually finding how to wear my makeup challenging because even my most everyday natural looks do not show the same as they did with just a little extra weight. I know much has to do with having such prominent features and no cushion underneath, but it's also disappointing. I used to be able to throw on some powder foundation, contour, lip balm, and mascara and I'd look very well put together. I'm so pale the fairest shade is usually too dark for me in liquid foundations. I use a white fixative if I wear liquid. Now, I feel like I end up looking gaunt if I contour but unfinished if I don't. I've tried adjusting where I apply. As an artist, I understand light and shadow. I've found this pretty frustrating and am wondering if it's just another of the changes aging women must take into consideration with their makeup. I didn't enjoy giving up my liquid liner. lol I know I'll not enjoy giving up my cheek contour, but I'm coming to a conclusion that I may have to. I suppose the bright side is time and money saved, but I will be very happy when I get my "basic look" back to a comfortable place. I'm starting to understand why so many older women choose to go without or with bare minimum makeup. I've worn bare minimum face products for awhile now, but even they seem to much to me of late. I love feeling all prettied up when I do my makeup special, so I'm not enjoying this new change so much. I'll embrace it and learn to live the heck out of it, but in this moment I miss my cheek contour. lol

Blush under the eye is an old Asian technique (Lisa Eldridge did a whole video on this, something like East vs West). I think it is beautiful and I use it all the time. The foundation in water is confusing. Aside from the fact that it looks very wasteful, oil and water don't mix, so how can it remove the oil? Thanks for this video! I find most hacks are a waste of time, but every once ina while you get a good one! Good job!

Hi. Always enjoy you and your content. I saw a lower lash trick by Wayne Goss which I've been doing for some time now and am very happy with. And it's WAAAY less scary than the tweezers approach: buy some interdental brushes. Wipe one on your mascara wand and use that on your lower lashes. And they are super affordable - you can get a 5 pack at Dollar Tree.

I command every spirit of fear and infirmity to depart her body now by the power and authority of Jesus Christ! I speak death into every COVID cell in Misty's body and command it to leave in the name of Jesus! Father I ask for you to release your holy warring angels and angels of healing to be with her in this time! When I put my foundation on with a brush I like running it through the water in the sink with a trickle of water. I squeeze the water out. I noticed that it helped my foundation go on more smoothly. I have a hack for you to try. I haven't seen anyone doing it but I luv it. I put my Essance and Micellar water in continous spray bottles (separate ones) and when it's time to use them I spray it onto my beauty rag (whichever 1 you prefer) and apply to my face. With this method I'm not wasting product and I don't have a lot of product running down my hand from pouring it onto the rag. I came up with it after I realized how fast I was going thru product and decided that there had to be a better way. Thanks for all your vids.

Regarding the first foundation "hack" : i think originally the op did it to show waterproof foundation or something, never meant to be a hack 😅 Also about the Selena Gomes lower lash mascara application, the way korean beauty creator do them is just to apply mascara on the lower lash the usual way then before it dries you pinch it with the tweezers for more doll-like lashes. I think it work easier that way ☺
@amyd44442 жыл бұрын
I just have too many questions on the foundation-in-water hack 😂 like how does it remove excess oil in the foundation? Also, if it works well, isnt there a less messy way - like just getting your brush super wet first and pumping your foundation straight onto the brush? Or does that not saturate the product enough? Thank you for trying these and for the video 👍🧡👍🧡

Zabrena, I am so sorry to hear about the situation with your Mom. Such heartbreak & disappointment is very difficult to navigate, but your faith will lead the way. My Mom passed in 2019 & although I was on good terms with my Mom, my only sister chose the day after my Mom's passing to tell my what a lousy sister & daughter I was. We have never recovered from that day & have been primarily estranged since then. The rest of my family- two brothers & my niece whom I helped rear, are invited to holidays etc at her home, my husband & I are not. I pray everyday for an eventual reconciliation, but have accepted it may never come. I am okay now with where things are as I love her & wish her no ill will. Prays for you & your Mom to find your way- whatever that may look like for you two.❤❤❤

Thank you so much, and I am so sorry to hear about the situation with your sister. What a terrible thing to experience after losing your mother. :( What I will share with you is something God showed me, it's deep but I hope it will resonate with you on some level: sometimes He needs to remove people in our lives in order to stop the demons using them from attacking us. The people we love are not the demons, as we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but we do wrestle against spiritual forces and principalities. Sadly, they do use people for a dark purpose and if people are not wise to their devices, they fall victim to them too. My mother is a very hurt, lost soul, and I didn't know the depths of her hurt until it was placed right in front of me. Hurt people hurt people. I don't see a reconciliation happening with my mom, unfortunately but I appreciate your prayers, truly. I will keep you and your sister in my prayers and will pray for a softening of your sister's heart. I thank you for being so open and willing to share what you've been through. I love you my sister :)

If you don't like the blush trick because it fades as fast as powder blush anywhere else on your face, try using a peachy color corrector liquid or cream under your concealer. I find this outlasts every other form or area of makeup on my face, even with setting spray applied with a sponge. And it does a much better job of blanking out those dark circles. I'm 63, and these dark circles of mine have a lot of miles on them!

With the rising tide of class actions (color pop), and toxins in makeup and shampoo, hair relaxes etc, it might be really a good time to make non-toxic natural makeup more relevant. May I suggest a video on good natural makeup brands like physicians formula and all the new players etc? I had an urge to clean out half my more cheap - I mean toxic- makeup and haircare this week. I bought some phenomenal shampoo bars from an Australian company and some natural eyeliner and threw away all my L'Oréal, Flower and garnier bb creams and only kept Avon, shu uemera, the balm & revlon. I figured I'd focus on eyes and base and be a bit more relaxed about cheeks and lips. Plus the EU and Asian makeup has higher regulations than USA. The journey begins.!!
