MM10 gets points from me because the robot master intros are timed so that the fights don't start until the song's intro is done. In fact, it's timed so that the first possible moment the boss can get hit is right when the intro ends. It makes the intro of the boss theme actually feel like an intro to the fight itself, you know? It's not many points, but sometimes it's the little things that make it just a little more memorable.

My Personal Ranking: S (Favourite): MM10 A (Great): MM3, MM7, MM6 B (Decent): MM4, R&F C (Poor): MMPU, MM2, MM5 D (Bad): MM9, MM11, MM1 E (Awful): MM8 My Additional Thoughts: MM1: Messy, tedious, and kind of annoying. MMPU: Much better version of MM1, but it kinda lacks any noticeable flair or impact. MM2: Following the decent intro, sounds like the song is meandering around aimlessly. MM3: Love the sinister tone, makes me feel intimidated. Works great for a boss fight. MM4: Decent. There is a unique sense of despair in this one I don't really feel in most of the others. MM5: Unfitting for a boss fight. Sounds like music people would dance to. MM6: Hypes me up and sounds appropriate for a fight. MM7: The "whiny" music instrument that Nico noted is mildly annoying, awesome song otherwise. R&F: Intro is weak, rest is decent. Fitting to R&F as it gives the feel the boss will be long and difficult. MM8: Ouch! My ears! Please, make it stop! MM9: Boring. MM10: Probably my favourite of them all. MM11: Already don't like the muffled techno(?) sound of MM11, a slow tedious boss theme doesn't help.

Damn right the boss fight theme in megaman and bass for the GBA sounds so much better than the SNES one, they just completely screw the instruments in therer for some reason. edit: forgot to do my ranking. S: MM7 absolute pinnacle for me, it truly feels like im stuck in a alleyway forced to do a fistfight with the robot master, it just can't be beaten. MM10 aswell because i really like that start, it is true that the rest feels off, but honestly that intro is so well timed that is enough for me to pull it to S A: MM3 i like the tension in this one Rockman and Forte (GBA version) Absolutely godly compared to the horrible downgrade that is the SNES version, a lot of themes are better in the gba version. B: both MM6 and MM5 cus i find them pretty similar and i dont find them exciting at all but they're good. MM8 I like it C: MM4 very repetitive, just a big meh from my part MM11 eehh.... yeah just no comment honestly MM2 good i guess D: MM Powered up and 1 i like them both equally, as good as megaman boss themes go, but yeah they're pretty chaotic, and tbh i like that but they dont pull it off right in these. E: MM9 its a disgrace and ill go as far as to say i hate it with a passion, its so god damn boring and repetitive. S: Mega Man: Rock N' Roll, Mega Man 4 Voyage, Mega Man 6 A: Mega Man Unlimited, Rockman&Forte, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 7 B: Mega Man 9, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 3 C: Mega Man 10, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 11 D: Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man 1 F: Mega Man 5 I reccomend people checkout Rockman 6 Unique Harassment's rendition of the Rockman&Forte Boss theme. I technically kinda broke to rules by including Unlimited and Voyage's boss themes, but I feel like those are some other Fanmade highlights incase of boss music.

I really agree with 9, 5 and 11, though I'd have kept 9 in D. I always had a soft spot for 6, but I don't think I see what you see in its boss theme. It's OK imo. B. For me, 1/PU is in B. It's kind of all over the place, but I like it. 4's doesn't really sound Russian to me like you said, I think it's OK. High C. 2 is OK. C. 3 is also OK. C as well. I'd put Mega Man 7, 8 and Mega Man & Bass in A. I used to listen to 7 a lot but its charm wore off on me after a while, but I still think it's good. MM&B's is actually pretty catchy to me. MM&B would be at the top of A Tier and 7 would be at the bottom, leaving 8 in the middle. I'd put 10's in S. It's definitely my favorite out of all of them. To me it doesn't really sound like Mega Man, more like traditional Japanese music in retro form. I love it!

Here’s my ranking, do note that I do like all of the boss soundtracks (except for #13): 13: Megaman 4) Although it is a good game, I find this boss theme to be very repetitive and I just don’t like how it sounds in general 12: Megaman 1) Just like Megaman 4’s it’s very repetitive and kinda messy in my opinion, However, the frantic movement of it really aids in the boss fight atmosphere 11: Megaman Powered Up) Wow a remix sounded better than the original for once 10: Rockman and Forte) It’s good, but I’m sick of hearing it after refighting Dynamo man millions of time 9: Megaman 7) The buildup really fits the intro “cutscene” of the robot masters, but the next part of it just kinda doesn’t fit 8: Megaman 2) What a great buildup, it’s a shame that the actual theme is underwhelming. However, it fits the bosses well, unlike with 7’s 7: Megaman 11) The actual soundtrack for the bosses doesn’t really fit, but it’s a good soundtrack 6: Megaman 5) I have no idea why but I absolutely love this boss theme, especially the first few seconds of it. The boss fights also fit really well with this soundtrack 5: Megaman 10) Has the best buildup, but the music afterwards is kinda disappointing if I’m gonna be honest, but it’s still good 4: Megaman 6) I really don’t know what to say about this one 3: Megaman 9) The first part of it is great for the robot masters entering the room, and the music afterward is fast-paced, really fitting the boss fights well. However, the buzzing does get more noticeable as you listen to it for much longer 2: Megaman 8) HOLY FRICK I did NOT expect this to be so good, it’s a real shame you can’t hear it over all of the sound effects and talking from the robots 1: Megaman 3) The buildup is amazing and fits with the robot master entrances, and the boss fights are on the more intense side, which the soundtrack really helps along

MM1 - I think it's pretty catchy. It's chaotic and shows their aggressive nature. [C] MMPU - I really like the instrumentation. It's a lot more lighter and jovial. [A] MM2 - I don't really like this theme for some reason. It's doesn't have a real "threat" to it and it does not feel like a boss fight. Sounds more like a miniboss theme. [D] MM3 - Really Good. I like the "Alien" type ominous theming to it. It's almost like a dance with death. B MM4 - WTF. IVE BEEN NICOROLLED. Oh, wait. This is a short but effective theme and it's also quite focused. But it could be extended and it lacks spirit, however. It's a tad too bland for my liking. [C] MM5 - I like it. It's got a jovial and playful nature to it. It's also longer than MM4. For some reason, I prefer this over MM2. It certainly feels like it has a lot more energy.[B] MM6 - Great. The opening is like "From this country... we introduce the robot master !". The melody is long and it feels quite heroic to it. [A] MM7 - It's a little grating with the background noise, and a bit too high pitched for my liking. It's not quite as likeable as others like MM5. [E] MM8 - It's like MM1 on steroids. I like the dissonance and build-up, as the robot masters swarm you. It's almost like a nightmare. [S] MMR&F - I do not like the beginning opening, but the melody is passable. You sort of sound like a one-sided fight against the boss, and it's acceptable. [C] MM9 - A classic. The deep notes remind me of like an alarm system going off [A] MM10 - Really grand. It's feels like your saving the world. [S] MM11 - Good. It reminds me of the chaotic themes from things like MM1. It's pretty bouncy and reflects in the dynamic patterns of the bosses. [B] RNR - Very good. Maintains a strong sense of determination and grit. Not my favorite, as it is a tad repetitive over time. Gotta be honest you know your stuff with Megaman level design but this music list feels wrong IMO. Like MM1 boss theme while simplistic is pretty catchy and pumps you up for a fight but yeah it's kinda out there, Megaman 2 boss theme is amazing and a classic. Hell when I fight Wily Alien the play that with the beat of the music thats how good it is in fact most of MM2 soundtrack is great with Crash Man and Wily 3/4 being exceptions. Megaman 3 theme is not bad but it's a step down from two and it needed more punch and MM4 boss theme feels like something is missing like it feels almost incomplete. MM5, yeah idk what they did there. MM6 we agree on that one and if it was lower than S tier I might have thrown something at the wall. MM7 is also a banger that while does have a meandering middle the beginning and end is top tier. MM8 is pretty good as well I cant complain about your opinion there, maybe a bit too synthy but MM8 is synthy so yea. MM&B one is pretty good, makes your blood going when fighting hard bosses like Burner Man or Dynamo Man. MM9 not bad but too simplistic and didnt have a oomph to it I guess. MM10 is actually not bad, very good like and improved version of 3. MM11 is disappointing, the game has some good soundtracks but the boss theme it just takes way too long to reach the promise land. So if it was me I be like S-Tier MM6 A-Tier MM2 MM7 B-Tier MM10 MM&B MM8 C-Tier MM3 MM9 MM1 D-Tier MM11 MM4 E-Tier MM5 That being said this is my opinion, it's just that some of your choices were strange to me.

The list can't be 'wrong' just because people disagree on the placements. This is also the reason why I didn't let music affect the stage scores in that list.

Opinions ahead!! MM1: (E TIER): Just a piece of garbage, feels ear raping, and is also too short (Although I prefer it being short for being that piece of crap). MM PU: (C TIER) Still kinda bad, however is no more ear raping and some tunes are kinda gorgeus here and there. MM2: (B TIER) This one is pretty good but I feel something here is missing, maybe the action isn't there. MM3: (S TIER) The best of the hexology of the NES, feels threatning and the tunes make you feel like if you were under pressure, yeah, is a bit long but I prefer my themes long rather than being short. MM4: (C TIER) *IS TOO FREAKING SHORT* However isn't bad, for me is kinda forgettable (Like MM4's soundtrack) MM5: (A TIER) Here's where the hate comes, I feel this one like with some mystery implicit (As the plot of MM5) and, although the build-up is a bit too long, I like a lot this one, doesn't sound too boss-ish but I don't care, is great MM6: (E TIER) Forgettable as hell, there's nothing here I like, literally nothing, this is the black sheep of MM6's soundtrack, which is pretty sad. MM7: (D TIER) Kinda wacky and a bit crazy, I feel this song has neither a head or a bottom, it tries to be different but doesn't do it well, in fact, sucks a bit. MM8: (A TIER) Suffers a bit of what happened with MM7 of being crazy but this is how MM7 should have sounded like, really good MM&B SNES: (S TIER) The best boss theme I've ever heard in a Mega man game, it's crazy, chaotic (in a good sense) and has a ton of action put into it, is godlike. MM&B GBA: (A TIER) Still great but the GBA sound chip butchers the song a bit. MM9: (B TIER) Kinda average, there are some good moments here and there (Specially at the ending) but kinda mediocre MM10: (S TIER) This is what happens when you throw MM9's, MM5's and MM&B Boss' themes into a blender. A great mixture of tunes. MM11: (A TIER) Great in it's own way, sounds like MM5 but makes me wanting something more. MM R&R: (S TIER) Godlike, fast paced, acurrate, full of action and, that's all I'm asking for. RESUTS! I don’t quite understand how you could not like MM6. Nobody agrees with you on that one but everything else seems agreeable
