So i got burned on this Monitor. I got the crappy normal Panel . Mad Little Pixel makes out that you need the B version for Business to get the IPS panel . No that is not correct . You need to get the serial code from the back of the screen. The last letter is for the following. S is for Samsung - So this is for the VA Panel version. L is for LG/Philips - And this is the IPS version. Plus if your in the Uk dont get this for your Snes or other Pal consoles as this monitor craps out on a lot of 50 HZ stuff.

That's the only monitor for PC with aspect ratio of 4:3 and a nice resolution of 1600 x 1200. I Would like to get them for programming and 4:3 games, but I live in Perú.

The panel I use is the HP 2035, really good and sharp, 1600x1200 with most of the same connectors. Swivel and rotation included, perfect for vertical games!

You can use a HDMI to DVI adapter (they're a couple of quid) 🙂

I have this same monitor with my Jamma Pandora CX and i tried several hdmi to dvi converters non would work .Had to settle for VGA . Getting a Pandora EX maybe it will work.

When you said you don’t have access to the aspect screen, does that mean you can’t access the menu screen size settings from the little menu buttons on the front? That’s a bummer if so.

I have one of these monitors (fantastic with my MAME arcade machine using DVI connection) and I had hoped to use it with my PAL GameCube - the composite is horrible, so I tried it with my Bitfunx HDMI adapter and a HDMI to DVI lead (that I know isn't faulty) but it doesn't work for me. I just get the message: "Out of range signal. Cannot display this video mode, change computer display input to 1600x1200 @ 60Hz" 😔

Probably because of the PAL 50hz signal, and this doesn't have a hdmi input... That's probably the only real weak point of the monitor.

I own two of these Dell monitors and love them. Use them paired with an modded OG Xbox and a Sega Saturn (video up on my page). Playing all the vertical shmups and games are excellent. They perform very well. Just great monitors IMO

Hello Pandory Do you notice any ghosting while playing arcade games on this monitor? I have a Dell LCD (IPS screen) with 8ms response time and I notice some ghosting when playing Sunset Riders and also some of the other arcade games (not all of them) and snes games (Mario World etc.)

Yes, physical scanline generator works, in between thin band or thick band, i prefer thick band, you may as well adjust odd or even scanline switch as clarity of text in the game react to scanline signal differently. Set resolution of pandora box to 1024x768, and turn scale up option on in pandora box setting, connect vga scanline generator, this should shown best looking gaming screen.

Hey guys, i need some help here. I bought this fantastic monitor thanks to this video, but just don't work with my Pandora Box Treasure 3D. Vga to Vga don't work, HDMI to DVI-D neither. What can I do? I still have to try HDMI to VGA... Any advice?

@@TeamPandory I've just used the HDMI to VGA cable, but it don't work too. I'm so disappointed :( Monitor says "can't display this video mode, change computer display input to 1600x1200@60htz). But the Sekool Pandora Treasure 3D seems to have no ability to change resolution.

@@LucaCervini Have you tried playing with the image settings on the monitor menu? Try to do a complete zoom in and then ht the automatic adjustment to see if that does anything. Good luck!

Any other recommendations on a monitor? I can’t find this one anywhere that’s not really expensive. I’m using a Dx3000 in 1 Pandora’s box I just need a great monitor now

Any 1080p / 720p HDMI monitor should be great on the DX, just install the PandoryDX jailbreak to get the correct screen resolution. If you really need the 4:3 Monitor, then I'd just keep an eye out on ebay for one going cheap.... Or if you're in Japan I might be able to sort you one out :D

Why would it be an issue? aslong as the wall brackets were mounted accordingly for 9:16 the panel operates the same.
