I do it the way they did it in school back in the day where you soak then you do all the work to get the cuticle off. But then I wait an hour then I finish the prep then put product on. Is there something else you can use besides cuticle remover? If you don't have any and where you don't have to soak. I didn't get to finish the cosmetology school life happened I do them at home.😭 I don't have a e-flie but when I get one that part will come in handy. Thank you for sharing. 💖 💖💖🤗

When doing ur own nails u would have the drill in forward for ur left hand and reverse on ur right ...is that correct
@traheanhoi66402 жыл бұрын
You just want to make sure the part that touches your skin moves towards your skin is all. I don't think it'll change depending on your left or right hand **unless it influences the way you hold your drill**. If your nail and your drill are both held the same way, it shouldn't change. Assuming you're always holding the drill with the bit towards you (like Kirsty did in the video), you'll need to reverse for the left side of the cuticle and forward for the right side; if you're always holding the drill with the bits away from you, then you do the opposite, forward for the left and reverse for the right. It's actually not easy to explain with words, but you can try to imagine a cross section of the nail and the drill bit, then see if your drill needs to move clockwise or anticlockwise for the bottom of the circle to be moving towards the skin, like this: ╭─╮ ╰─╯ ∩══∩ If the drill (the circle-ish shape) wants to push back the skin (the ∩ symbol) on the left side, it needs to spin clockwise. That means forward rotation if you hold the drill normally, or in reverse otherwise. If the drill wants to push the skin on the right side back, it needs to spin anticlockwise. That means reverse rotation if you hold the drill normally or forward otherwise. Left or right hand should have no bearing on which rotation you use unless that changes which direction your finger or your drill is pointing towards. Just to further clarify, forward rotation means the motor spins clockwise when you observe the drill with the bit away from you (and reverse if anticlockwise). Just in case if it helps you determine which way you should set your drill to.

Just wondering why people don't use liquid cuticle remover any more? I see so many people using e-files, but in the wrong hands they can be terrible for the eponychium and surrounding tissue.

I would imagine she's getting ready to teach extensions to this class next, so she'd have to take off the nail length first.
